I never planned on collecting Kreons, but I just can't resist these little guys anymore.

 

Totally didn't notice the Shockwave Kreon has a different chest. So do all the Kreons displayed with the base come with it? Weird mix of Shockwave, pissed off Bumblebee, Prime Arcee, and stagehand. If someone knows who that is, help me out. Certainly hope these are prototypes because the decals are peeling off.

Anyone get the feeling the mystery guy isn't Optimus? Still, I wonder where the leftover Decepticon Kreons went? Certainly hope these tubs sell well enough even if they're just pieces from old sets.

 

Wave 3 of the Combiners should then be Menasor, Computron, Magnaboss and Tripedacus!

I just crapped my pants. They look awesome, especially Snaptrap (Tentakil beast mode looks weird though, someone needs to take that photo again)

Disappointed there's no Seawing (he was my fav), but oh well - still the best news I've had all year.

Going by the chest decal, the other bot is Prime Ratcet, meaning this is a Prime-themed set.

 

Oh my gosh that Perceptor has me laughing. From his insanely happy face to that alt mode.  

Really to many wants to list them all GAH!! Although I like my Terrorcons I'll probably end up passing up the combiner set.

Hasbro really knows how to hit ya in the wallet don't they.

 

The colors on some of these aren't that pleasing to me, but overall I'm pretty happy with the character choices. I hope it's easier to obtain a set in each wave as series one was hit or miss as far as that goes. I like new Autobot combiner. The others not so much.

 

I will own all the mini figure kit and combiners. They are tiny treasures. Screw main line figures. These are where it is at. Adorable, cheap, and FUN!

 

They are. Just look at the old prototype pics of Predaking and the other gestalts, for example.

 

I'm likening where the kreo is going. Also I do like the idea of just tubs of parts with the basic kreon guys. I hope to see a bit more of that stuff down the line.

 

I love my original Seacons, so I cannot wait to get my grubby hands on those Kreons. I've always wanted an Abominus, so I guess this is the cheaper way to go. I'm quite surprised Menasor isn't in the mix yet, as the figures are just simple cars. They stuck a Nosecone in the Microchanger Wave 4, so maybe there will be a Computron.

 

Why no Dinobots??

 

I'm sure the Dinobots are coming... by the looks of it, Hasbro is trying to get the most out of the micro-changer pieces they've already designed, while slowly introducing new ones each wave.

Each new piece opens up the possibility of new characters. Build claws for Scorponok, all of a sudden you can do Nautilator, Octopunch (the crab), Beast Wars characters like Scorponok, Sea Clamp (Tripredacus), etc... Drill piece for Nosecone adds the possibility for characters like Twin Twist, etc.

Dinobots could be easy... would just need a new head mold for Grimlock and maybe Swoop... the rest could be refurbished from the Predacons mold for Headstrong and Tantrum...

Then BOOM, new T-Rex head gives Hasbro an easy way to make Beast Wars Dinobot, Megatron, Cruellock and the myriad of other Dinosaur TFs... and so on...

 

When are these being released?

 

Very cool stuff. It looks like they're improving the "transformation" of these guys too, though none of them are still all that good. I just like the Little figures on their own so I'm all in for these guys. I love that all the combiners are getting some love, I'm sure Computron will be added to the line eventually since Nosecone is part of the blind packed set. A new Monstructor would be awesome to go with Computron! And a Dinoking repaint! Oh and Liokaiser!

Wow, Arcee's eyes are rather detailed. All the other Kreons have just flat one-color eyes, I kinda wish Arcee's were more simplistic like them.

 

OW, GOD THE EYES!!!!


Anyways, meh. My preferred Kreon Arcee is the G1 one.
