Would it be a bad idea to start painting my extra Jazz Purple now? Got a great purple that should look killer over his white parts. Loving those review pics in the link on the last page.

I hope BBTS gets this and FOC Grimlock and Blaster at the same time so I can ship them all together.

^ I'd say wait... to make sure at least matches the head up with the paint you want to use.

Also TFSource's latest email says that this set is shipping to them, so they'll be ready to process orders within the week... I'd not be surprised if BBTS follows suit soon after.

Al the talk of quake wave made me forget how stoked I am to have this. Of course it hit my pile of loot two days after I shipped, so I probably won't get it until march, but I'm still looking for a new rts jazz to paint anyways. Painting him wil be my first custom and seems like a nice place to start.

Got mine in the mail. Everything is solidly made. Highly recommended! Gonna dye my spare RTS Jazz purple soon.

Just one question: Anyone have any issues removing jazz's hands? It looks like the ball joint is kind of clamped in between the two arm pieces. I removed the screw, but the arm isn't coming apart.

There's glue as well, you have to pry it open.

Oi, figured that would be the case.

Would heating the arm up with a hairdryer help with the process?

Heat helped to get my RTS Jazz' forearms apart, used a hair dryer and a screwdriver and they finally popped apart. Should do the trick for you as well.

Managed to pop the ball off, but I kinda nicked the plastic trying to pry it apart. I wanted to attempt to separate the white and black parts so I could dye just the white, but eh, not worth possibly destroying the arm and blistering my womanly fingers over. guess I'll see how the black plastic takes to the purple dye. Might even have a cool effect.

On that note, I'm having a lot of fun with the two included blasters. The Megatron gun looks great in the hand of GDO Tank Megatron.

Installed mine over the weekend, love it. I'm cool with just using the included stickers rather than painting, it makes him look like he's just borrowing the body.

Yup, I def. intend to! This will be the first time ever dying this much plastic, so we'll see how disastrous it turns out.

Anyone else notice how the ears on the head stop the wheels from touching the ground in vehicle mode?

Don't roll him around in vehicle mode, the ears will scratch and break off!

I'm calling Jazz Scatman from now on. This is a great way of describing why the body is white. If I had a spare Scatman (Actually... If Zip-Zip is Wheelie... Nah, colors would clash) I'd be in.

So I got my set, I really like it a lot. But, I ran into a problem, the light pipping section of the Shockwave head doesn't want to fit the neck ball on Jazz and I can see it has already put stress marks on the neck.

I'm afraid to remove it now without breaking his neck. :(

Boil some water and dip the head in there with a strainer, or something to contain it and keep it near the top for a few seconds, then it should install easily. Same thing that had to be done with the original Battle Tanker head. Once in place it was fine but installing it was difficult.

I'd love to do that, but removing the head also removed the neck ball. Now I need to either find a working ball joint to replace it with or another Jazz. Color me bummed. :banghead:
