Thanks for the review. I like it, and I will get this one, but I would like to see it eventually get a new head and recolored to something more Optimus Prime, even though I do actually like the green for what it is.

Answering both of your questions, yes i have Predaking, but i don't have his video done yet. It should be done and up for Monday.

I use "guys" for everyone...it's not gender specific to me. Same with dude...i'll call a lady "dude" all the time lol Sorry if that offends anyone :(

Love this figure which is good as the main line has felt lacking for me. I think it may be the Japanese super robot aesthetic that sells it for me, with the galaxy convoy feel to it!

I recommend this figure for a bit of fun and a decent voyager figure with one badass sword included.

Yes, it is a great toy. I actually dig the green windows and sword. I also use the launchers primarily as boosters, but hey at least he has the option for ranged weaponry.

I actually think this is the Prime version of Animated Wingblade Prime (which itself may have been based on Galaxy Convoy)

I don't really see that outside the shape of the windows. But Wingblade Optimus was based on the Apex armour's wings, which Galaxy Convoy was based off of. In a roundabout way that's not far off.

eBEFOREi Reviews: OPTIMUS PRIME - Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager figure

After a recent (spoiler.............) appearance of this version of Prime on Beast Hunters, I thought I would finally give this guy a proper review. While the designers took some odd liberties... (green eyes, windows, and star saber?!?) - I must say that despite a few flaws, he is impressive. My full review of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager class Autobot leader - OPTIMUS PRIME

So, I bought this figure yesterday and I couldn't get the damn thing to hold together, at all. It was a floppy mess in both modes. I had to dig up your video review and I watched it all the way through.

I came to realize the one I bought was an absolute lemon.

At first I thought there was a waist swivel, I was wrong. Mine was misassembled and off kilter. So, the wings and arms didn't want to peg together, at all. To get them to do so, I had to bend the entire wing assembly. In fact, leaving it sit in vehicle mode for about a half hour started to warp the whole backpack and the wings were actually taking on a bit of a curved shape.

I tried to open him, his codpiece was glued shut and fastened with screws. (I double checked the packaging, the figure was brand new.) I of course couldn't get him open, so I wasn't able to fix the alignment issue.

This was a deal breaker for me. On top of that, his hips were ridiculously floppy. I mean, I'd jiggle him during transformation and his legs would go every which way. It looked so stupid.

Plus, the wings and pegging and attaching this and that, just worried me. Even if it hadn't been for the alignment problems, this design flaw still scared the shit out of me.

I tried to like him, and I do think he's quite imposing in person, he could've been fantastic. As is, I found him to be too flawed. Shame.

That IS a shame, and I'm sorry to hear it. He's an incredibly fun toy if you get one that isn't messed up.

Just my 2 cents that I am sure has been mentioned a ton of times. He would have been awesome if he is not that hollow.

That's an easy fix that will only cost you about 30 cents and some scotch tape.

I did the fix Peaugh's talking about. 20 cents, scotch tape, about 10 minutes and some Futureshine and he's awesome! I also trimmed the spikes off his abdomen and bumper so he's more screen accurate and has really full waist rotation. Awesome figure, and I was all out when he was first revealed. Verrry glad I have him in my collection.
