Sheldon to Penny, "I don;t think you are keeping your apartment at an adequate temperature conducive to human comfort levels."

Anyway, I have a feeling we're going to get an upscaled version of FOC Shockwave with a little extra girth by way of BH spikey things.

Why? This isn't an attack or anything, I'd just like to know your reasoning. So far the only precedent for reuse of FOC moulds in Prime was with the Arms Micron version, and we know for sure that this is a Hasbro release. Plus, you know, he does have his own distinct design in Prime, which they have no real reason to ignore.

I just feel Hasbro will try to cut some corners. I think they would beef it up a bit so it's wider and voyager size, but I don't think it is going to be a complete redesign.

I am just speculating here. My thought process is really on the other BH figs that have been released. Most of which are retools of the PRID molds with additional spikes and weapons.

Now that I think of it, and maybe I'm just crazy, but I think if you took the center divider out of the window on BH prime, gave him a new head, a gun for an arm, and painted him purple, you'd be pretty close to Shockwave.

Again, though, that latter thought is just me being crazy.

That's not true. Only three Deluxes and one Cyberverse Commander (and the Legion BB maybe?) are retools from PRiD. Deluxe Wave 2 is all new molds.

I've never seen Hasbro do something as nonsensical as retooling Shockwave out of Optimus, or even Megatron. Even the idea that they wouldn't release him at all was fairly silly (Shockwave > Breakdown).

Also, pretty sure "beefing up" a deluxe into a voyager doesn't save anyone a cent. FoC Soundwave does this for accuracy, not cost-cutting.

As for AM Shockwave (not to mention Knockscreen), I learned long ago not to pin Takara's crazier domestic releases on Hasbro.

*Looks at Voyager Prime Ultra Magnus*... I doubt it. Granted, every figure has to cost out correctly so that Hasbro makes some measure of profit at the end of the day, but I have a feeling they'll do his show model justice.

"Whenever we shape out the line, we do have both audiences in mind and both audiences are extremely valuable to us. We like to think that a great toy that delivers a magical experience with a character that everybody loves
will delight both kids and adults alike."
    - Derryl DePriest, Vice President Hasbro Marketing

I really like the above quote because I think too often fans adoringly clutch to the concept that "Hasblow" wants to screw fans over by whittling down every effort to absolute bare minimum everything. It's just not (caveat) always true. Sometimes yes- most likely for the aforementioned costing reasons- but less often statistically than you might like to think.

Believe me, I want a show accurate Shockwave.

I'm just anticipating the worst. I don't want to set myself up for disappointment.

I've not been a big fan of the BH line so far, and really do hope for it to flesh itself out into something a little better than the current offerings. Time will tell.

i just want to see some pics of this figure i own two prime figure and i got to say i'm dissapointed in both.
voyagers of both dreadwing and bulkhead aren't very acturated and transformation is fun.
hopefully the beast hunters will be better.

Regular Shockwave? Just because it's under the BH banner doesn't mean it isn't 'regular'.

actually it does. there is no non beast hunters shockwave in this prime line.
regular would imply no upgrades to the original version example any prime figure that was release before in the line then re released as a beast hunter.
some of the beast hunter figures look awful while others look pretty cool.
i'm just hoping they don't screw this one up.

Being two to a case, I don't think he'll be all that hard to find. I'm going to skip this preorder and take my chances.

I'm definitely taking that route; if there's ever any kind of chance for me to avoid shipping fees or dipping into my savings, I'll take it.

for me it just depends on what it looks like voyagers are up to 25 dollars retail when they were only 20 last year.
having limited money doesn't make these choices any easier. and with generations or foc soundwave out i may have to get that instead.

i said i wasnt goin to buy into this bh line because i didnt care for the bw and bm toys from the past. granted that the generations versions of said characters were better, i just dont care much for the four-legged animal tuning into a four limbed biped. but MAN!!! shockwave?!? friggin awesome! ive bought two figures from the bh line and im happy with the colors and the spikey appearance on some of the bots. honestly when i first heard about the series turning to this, i thought...well, itll be a while before i see another tf series, but im hooked already. i also like the idear of what someone said a couple of pages ago. bring on a NEW mold for some galvatron love!! if in fact he does make it on the show. ur knockin it outta the park hasbro!
