Cool news! If you're an american and plan to take grey hound, make sure you know someone in canada who can pick you up or prepare for a $45 cab ride as they drop you off right next to a mall which doesn't even look like a bus stop.

Decided to make the drive from Buffalo. That will be the last time I attend this expo. The phrase "80s toy expo" is severely incorrect. It did not feel like an 80s toy convention at all. It felt like TFcon lite. I'd say 75% of it was Transformers stuff, which is good for TF fans, but this was supposed to be an 80s convention, not a TF convention. I went there looking for alot of toy lines I had as a kid like M.U.S.C.L.E., Battle Beasts, Ghostbusters, Rock & Bugs & Things, Sectaurs, etc., but found very little to nothing. Complete waste of a trip.

I don't know about you man, but I saw a bunch of dealers with ghostbusters stuff and battle beasts. I saw one guy make his kid walk so they could put the ghostbusters firehouse in the stroller.

There's always going to be a bunch of TF stuff, because that's what's popular. Same with MOTU and Star Wars, I'd say there was more MOTU stuff at this show than I can remember in a show in the past, and one dealer with an honest to god rocket-firing-boba fett. More comics than I remember in previous shows, too, and some good selections thereof.

I'm sorry you didn't find what you wanted, and yeah, I didn't find any MUSCLE or Sectaurs either, or any Starcom, which I'd seen at previous shows, but I saw a bunch of Japanese Super Robot stuff and King Arthur and the Knights of Justice figures and some neat Wrestling merch, none of which I'd seen before, and a lot of dino-riders, so I guess it's a bit of a gamble when you're looking for something more exotic in terms of vintage. I suppose that's sort of the problem when there's so many of those old lines to begin with.

Yeah, that too! I don't think I'd ever seen the lesser-known characters in box in person like that before.

There were also quite a bit of Thundercats stuff, for obvious reasons.

There was also a table that had a lot of old NES games, that's very 80s.
