I think the angle of the shot and a squatty pose are making it look different. those legs and arms seem to be VERY much the FE mold. If thats the case, BOUGHT on sight...I have an unsettling crush on that mold.
Despite the immediate dismissal, the arms and legs/feet are very nearly the same though with different hands. And that chest piece seems like more removable armor. So yeah, I stand by my first statement.
hmmm... aside from bulkhead in roadbuster flavor he also comes with almost looks like rhinox or maybe down the line a redeco of rhinox hehe wait and see
I have FE Starscream on a shelf above my computer, and those are not the same legs, feet arms, anything. They're so different that I honestly have no idea how you think they're the same.
Beast Hunters is a better crafted line than Beyblade and that manages to survive, if any line is on the verge of cancellation or in trouble it's Masterpiece or Generations not Beast Hunters as TRU is 5 minutes away from failing, and Target and Walmart only seem interested in boxed sets and exclusives in a Movie year the market might sustain itself on Asian tastes alone, but I do wonder if one of the reason MP's are now so expensive is partly due to that Hasbro is less effective at sharing the costs - basically if they couldn't get a retailer to take Soundwave's MP toy then there's nothing to drive his cost down. I have often also wondered if Grimlock was supposed to be a Leader or Weaponizer but they did him as a Voyager as they thought no one would order a large Grimlock as a sole large scale generations toy (which to me seems more like an excuse to make another chracter than an excuse to not do it at all). But a mainline that has true global potential and Hundreds of Thousands of sales like Beast Hunters likely will can pay for itself, and does not have to be a repaint/remould only line like much of the Asian releases are. and if it does prove to be a failure then I suspect all Hasbro will do is slant more design slot towards Movie 4 toys instead. I'm certain that the line won't be running in parallel with the 4th movie toyline - one is going to die off and unless they decide to prop up generations or Prime off the back of more recent Videogames. I suspect Beast Hunters might be in trouble. But as the Movie line wont likely come out until 2014 they have no choice but to carry on as they are for a year at least. The logical thing to do is perhaps not reboot everything but instead simply remove the releases for a few month to a year and then come back with a renewed Prime Tv show and toyline in late 2014-early 2015 or another mini-season in early 2014 before the movie comes out. and in the mean time just drip out the odd thing that isn't a Movie toy. Personally if it was me i'd show a bit more creativity and do what was done with the Fantastic Four Movie figures the 1st few waves were based on the Movies and then after that they transposed it into a comic based line. this happens a lot with Marvel related toylines. and the same thing might well work with Transformers too. This was done to some degree with lines like Robots in Disguise, Universe 1.0 and Hunt for the Decepticons. They could do the same again Transformers after movie 4 they don't have to make the like of Animated, Generations, even Prime toys as a complete line there's plenty of space to pop them into a generic Transformers brand post movie with a mix of Movie character left overs (from all 4 movies) and similar missing characters from other brands too... (like that Rhinox or Star Saber Takara say they wish to do). If the Beast Hunters line last a year then vanishes sometime in 2014 the beast idea can come back again in 2015 or 2016 for the Beast Wars 20th anniversary. However there is a chance that bay might green light a 5th and 6th Movie right away so heck knows but perhaps 2016 might be another movie year. I know this though I'd rather have a Starscream that looks like a demented version of Terrorsaur than have another 140+Bumblebee toys post Movie 4. That Beast Hunters "isnt" another Movie line is merit enough, I don't mind the idea of Movie toys I just object when 25% of the entire line is Bumblebee and they never bother to make the cool stuff like Scavenger or Overload as toys.
There's still nothing that indicates a beast mode. He's just wearing the same kind of armor as everyone else.
Minus the flaky chrome bits you may be on to something. For shits and giggles perhaps a new Waspinator figure is in order and a redeco into Buzzsaw. Hasbro can only offer up so many dragons (I think we're up to 4 now) before it starts to get rather tiresome.
theres a reason beast wars are worthless. bh is an insult to my intelligence. i feel sorry for the human race.
