i dont see the pointy chin as a goatee, i see it as a...well...chin...now if it were painted a different color, then sure, i see a goatee...
debatable and its the same on mp12 its like this designer has a fetish for goatees and i hope every design in the future with a face and not a faceplate does not have this imho both starscream and frenzy/rumble would have looked better with out this in the design
Rumble (1984) - Decepticon Demolitions - www.tfu.info Except if you look closely, Rumble does have the tiny beard. That said, I think the trend of putting those on everyone goes back to the Dreamwave days, myself - and for that matter looking on my desk at present, just about all the Classics figures in front of me have them. It's very much a modern styling that got added in at some point and propagated across the line.
true but still think would look better without and more like the cartoon with a set of mutton chops as well
Yup, it's three. And here's a new pic from the instructions showing a diagram of the triggered ejection feature...
Yeah, ya know that whole thing about people saying these are going to just end up being accessorys? Yeah, NO. In my book, these little guys look to be PERFECT just for little stand alone figures . So as far as I can tell tho, frumble looks to be about the size of a large legend small scout right? And will come up to about the knee on the new masterpiece scale figures? I can't wait for these to show up in my BBTS Pile of lute!
The goatee looks ok to me. Would prefer without but most cartoon shots do have something there: http://th01.deviantart.net/fs28/300W/i/2008/103/7/0/Transformers___Rumble_Frenzy_by_JP_V.jpg
The more I see of these cassettes the more I can't wait to get my Soundwave an his little legion of followers. All these pics are really great!
I really like Rumble there. Buzzsaw well meh aside from taking on Omega Supreme he's never did anything.
I now demand Shockwave with a goatee and Bradley Wiggans style sideburns. This. But the designer does seem to like them. At least Soundwave can't continue the theme. Although if they ever get around to MP Cyclonus or MP Scourge he will be in his element.
meh, it looks like the chin to me. Doesn't bother me like those damn short shorts on the Hasbro MP Rodimus Prime.
Yeah, I'm still debating on whether or not to get Soundwave, and whether to get the Takara one or wait for the Hasbro one. Bought I have both tape packs pre-ordered because I like them more. I just wish there was a Ratbat. And that The theory of Soundblaster/Ratbat doesn't prevent me from getting one without Soundblaster ... As to size, I recall a picture (don't remember where) that showed off one of Rumble/Frenzy next to Soundwave - he came up to about Soundwave's knee. I think Soundwave is either the same height as MP-10, or just a bit shorter, so around the same height as Prime's knee. Which looks to be about Cyberverse Commander size - or roughly half a head to a head shorter than the average Scout.
Robotkingdom has a lot of beautiful pictures of both sets of masterpiece tapes.. and disappointingly Ravage/Rumble appear to lack any bicep swivel... like mp-5, another masterpiece that can't even reach in front of their chest. Chris
Probably they are discarded toys due to QC issues from the factory. that's why their paint is defective, and showing too soon.
