Shattered Glass has to be shoehorned into a story that doesn't need to feature Shattered Glass. Well done FunPub
Shattered Glass is now more than just a mirror universe. The Classicverse is destroyed but Classics Earth is now part of this Universe, as is a cast of Heroic Autobots and Evil Decepticons. As for this story, Ultra Mammoth and crew are trapped in the past on Shattered Glass Earth. The story will focus on this new band of Heroic "Maximals" fighting against the crew of the other ship. Shattered Glass Earth is the setting is all. However, that will make for some interesting twists... As far as bodies, Prowl, Ironhide and Silverbolt are all in their Marvel Issue 75 bodies at the start of the story. They never got Classics upgrades.
And I am calling it right now, some how what happens on SG earth in the past is why the SG autobots are evil and SG cons are good.
Um that wouldn't really make sense given the SG Autobots and Decepticons were that way already on their Cybertron Interesting. Wonder who's on the other ship. Evil Autobots or Evil Decepticons.
Shattered Glass is to FunPub what the nWo was to Wrestling. Once great, overexposed then overused, eventually ruining everything for everyone. Beast Snores. Shattered Ass. I'm hilarious.
You mean a continuation of a story that was the SG universe invading the Classicverse? Yep, totally shoehorned.
I must say Pete, it was a big mistake to put "Shattered Glass" in the title if it's not about bad good guys and good bad guys. Look at this thread, you just instantly killed the interest of half these folks because they think it is something it isn't. The fact that they are on ancient SG Earth is trivia, not title-worthy. It's like if the Star Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror" was about a mirror.
I get why the Club likes SG- it's an easy reason for repaints. What I don't really get is why there are a lot of people who kinda go along with it. I mean, if you dig it, cool... I just don't see the appeal.
What would be funny is if they used the Beast Wars toy models, but then still gave them G1 heads in robot modes for Prowl, Ironhide and Silverbolt, instead of the Beast Wars, which looked nothing like them.
Th eonly thing that could make me care LESS about Shattered Glass is Beast Wars Shattered Glass....It was fun the first time, but it's run it's course with me...and Beast Wars just don't fit with my collection any more.
I don't see what people have against SG. It's good writing, and they are better than chinformers, bayformers or noselessformers.
I for one love Shattered Glass, its my favorite continuity, I've always found the concept very interesting, I look past what others see when they say its just a lazy excuse to push out more repaints and appreciate it for the characters and the story and I cant wait to see what Shattered Glass figures are to come in the future, I am still hoping for a SG repaint of the classics Hotshot in his red and yellow colors and a SG Skywarp to go with my SG Starscream and Thunder Cracker.
Am I the only one not too thrilled with FunPub wiping out the Classics verse like this?? Sad this is I have a feeling they are going to try and tie in a bunch of the BW toys into the mix. Most of which I bet I have sold off over the years........
The only new Beast Wars toy is Ultra Mammoth. There were too many different continuities so they had to remove one.
