Hey man, at one time I bought Armada Scavenger, didn't quit out on Transformers after the fact.

...I'm sure that's a poor comparison.

Admittedly, it seems that the wings didn't at all go through any sort've testing, or they felt that their appearance and whatever inherent coolness they may have outweigh the flaws and damage the inflict upon the figure. CrazyDevy haven't been known for the communication with the fans. But, the folks that have them seem really up on the Devastator parts, the Predaking head is super neat and their gigantic Predaking sword looks like it'll be a winner from the picks.

Sometimes folks are just willing to take a gamble.

 

I don't recall saying I don't like them. I was ticked because of how heavy they are and what they did to the teeth on my divebomb wings. which make my poor wings sag like a cape. No, they are not worth the 75.00 I paid. I suggest waiting to see if the price goes down before buying them.

I'm a completest to a fault Which is why I feel the need to go ahead and get the rest of the King's Power Parts. plus, I for one actually want the head and sword. I should have waited on the wings, but didn't because I wanted to see how they held up with the new wing tips they included that we had to install.

As I said, If your one of those collectors who are anal about your G1 toys and don't want to unscrew your Backpack to do all the mods, then this set is not for you. I don't mind being a guinea pig, if it means warning others on some of the things that can go wrong with these sets.

the black tips CD added as bonus parts have nothing to do with weight, it's the giant wing parts that are heavy   those put stress on the teeth located on the orange parts of the wings, inside the backpack (which I'm not about to take apart again)

Optibotimus took down all of his CD reviews due to the treatment he received from crazydevy.
No response, no appology, no replacement parts, nothing.
They ruined a part of a toy that held very significant sentimental value to op (not to mention the $600 price tag) and chose not to even acknowledge his existence.
They have treated him very poorly, and he will not endorse thier products.
So be sure you are willing to risk damage and the cold shoulder from these guys, if you buy thier products.

CDMW-11 predaking wing upgrade

hey guys i'm back with another cd product reveiw for prdeaking. this time i am reveiwing the upgrade that started alot of doubt on the quality and fit of cd stuff, thats right THE WINGS! will they fit? will they wreck my predaking? will i figure out what i want for dinner? find out today! i would like it if this thread could please not turn into any sort of argument thanks, and enjoy the review.

Man... that is something else. I've had mine sitting in the package since Christmas. I still sorta kinda wanna get another Divebomb backpack to try this with, rather than damage the only one I've got.

 

yeah i would definitely NOT put these on a vintage divebomb, still makes me wonder if cd has a reason why he made these wings so damn big.

 

I finally got my wings and vintage set, and they're beautiful! the first thing I did, even knowing that they can mess up the divebomb stickers, was put them on the stock wings, albeit carefully. yup, scratched the stickers. but I knew it would probably happen, and it comes with the replacement wings anyway, so just don't even give it a try and you're fine.

trying to be subjective about it, if you take for example the headrobot hardhead upgrade, you had to unscrew something to put it on. so you take the king's wings, and you have to take apart the backpack to put in the replacement thinner wings to attach the big ones to.
the joints are super tight, and on mine they don't flop around at all. looking at the artwork on the box, the wings do a pretty faithful job recreating the picture on the front.

I highly recommend these, especially if you're like me an the anime style of robots with oversized wings and guns really sets you off.  

 

I finally was able to come up with some money to buy the predaking 2010 gift set. I was wondering when you purchase the cdmw-11 do they come with extra divebomb wings to replace your originals so they don't get damaged?

Don't mean to necropost, but I can't find any information on my questions and didn't want to make a thread on such a small issue.

 

They did when I bought mine. I'd have to think they still do. But yeah, in a separate envelope they pack in a spare set of divebomb wings, just flat black, no stickers. So you take apart Divebomb's backpack and swap the stock wings with the new ones.

The new ones they give you are sized the same, not any thinner or anything. Just a spare set to have to not bust up your stock ones.

This is fairly old news, but after they sent me these to review and i destroyed my vintage Divebomb wings, they proceeded to say that i put them on wrong, resulting in damaging my original figure. But then after that, released sets that came with the back stabilizer AND replacement wings to put on your vintage figure so that you don't destroy your vintage ones. That was the last time i reviewed or recommended a product of theirs. I will say these, like a lot of other CD stuff, look great on the figures, but it's not worth risking it and they do not get any money from me anymore.
