Nice. The Alternity Prime is one of my favourite TF figures, and for the build quality, detail and heft of the figures they're almost worth the price point. I'll probably wait and see if Mandarake get them in second hand before ordering, though they would look gorgeous in my office cabinet alongside my Miku BMW, Porsche 959 and G1 Smokescreen :)

I thought this was going to be a great opportunity to mix Super GT and modern racing cars with the technology of Binaltech/Alternity style toys, both of which I love, but the more I see of the releases and the use of "Mission GT-R" on the latest displays, I wonder if it's purely a Transformers, Super GT and Nissan initiative. Nissan are very good and branching out and their successful forays into PlayStation, GT Academy through Gran Turismo and Race Academy show they are not afraid to try new things with their brand. I wonder if the other manufacturers in Super GT like Honda and Lexus are less willing to have their models used by Takara Tomy for this line?

The price point really is so high, I would only want to get into these toys if I knew other manufacturers would be introduced and we could conceivably have a half decent grid of race cars to display.

So far they have shown the Motul Autech, Impul Calsonic, S Road Reito Mola and Advan D'Station Nissan GT-Rs, and that is currently all of the Nissan GT-R teams in Super GT, GT500 class. So if they are going to go beyond GT-04, I guess they will have to include further Honda HSV-010 and Lexus SC430 models. That is unless they want to use the GT300 class cars where there are more Nissan GTRs, and those are a lot closer in mould to the Alternity toys...

Ohhh I dream of a Raybrig Honda HSV010 in this line....

    All the best

I would strongly recommend that takara scrap the die cast idea and make them all 100% plastic for 2 reasons. 1- This will cut costs and more people will buy them, 2- This will make poseability and stability much better. Toynami did this with their Voltron a few years back and I had both, the plastic version was far superior.

They'd have to make new molds to make them into plastic.
