I think it is sufficiently different (modernized) to compete with iGear. Moreover, given that iGear increased prices and is selling it in sets of two, depending on the price of this, I would go SXS (SXS's version will probably be more expensive than the iGear's version in a one-to-one comparison, but it seems to be bigger, more complex and potentially more fun - in a benefice/cost perspective, SXS may win).

There is also a not impossible chance that the SXS's version, which is just a design concept right now, will eventually see a release BEFORE the iGear's version  

 

The price for those weapons is currently 42$ on BBTS... tad pricey considering the Dream Maker sets for WFC Prime/Megatron were that price, and offered far more goodies.

Anyway... the Gears CG figure looks interesting... those wheels look tiny in the bot mode renders tho. Curious...

But yea.. if the iGear Mini Warriors are staying at 55$ a pop from TFS/BBTS, I can see folks being interested in an alternative that's a much larger and more articulate update. I mean really, these are oversized Legends figures... and now they're costing as much as FP Deluxes?

 

sword and shield looks nice but no where near worth 42 IMO.

 

This model looks awesome. I'm guessing if this is actually created it'll be deluxe sized (Warbot Defender size). Not sure how I feel about Gears looking all bad assed now, but if its $80-90 USD (or less), I'll probably bite.

Was interested. But the price is turbo glitching high.

I'm considering decking out fall of cybertron Optimus Prime with the red five pack arms micron. Just to be the path blaster assuming the character palette as fall of cybertron does.

I really like the sword and shield combo (especially the hexagonal pattern on the shield). I purchased the sxs mace for megs awhile back and I really like it (though it is over priced). However, it is hard for me to justify this set when the new sword that comes with FOC Magnus looks surprisingly good. Nevertheless, depending on if there is a price drop (the mace dropped in price before coming out) and its release date I will probably still pick up a set. I am weak for wfc/foc stuff.

 

The shield is the same one used in FoC multiplayer by titans. Optimus also used it in the final battle. I wish it wasn't as expensive though.

 

Super curious about the figure. As far as th sheild and sword go, it would have to go to Magnus. The only other character that I would pair it with is Brawl, but the colors would have to be more Con aligned.

 

Beautiful work on the sword and shield, but I agree with the assessment that they're way too expensive.

How many you can buy? Well let's do some math. If you buy from BBTS with optimus on sale for 7.50, then you can buy, not including shipping, about 5 and a half. That's a lot of optimus.

No. A lot of people have realized this. These are also used on the FoC multiplayer by the titans. It's one of their special abilities.

 

Those look cool, how accurate are they to the game? The FOC Optimus needs something like this to bring it to life.
