True. I mean waiting for reviews to see first is always the sensible route.

They didn't say that the Ark did indeed carried everyone on board. Perhaps some of them did get left behind to keep an eye on the remaining Decepticon forces.

He even has the same damn guns as his deluxe toy.

And his head is his FOC head with a visor and more Primey.

HE'S BLAST OFF, END OF DISCUSSION.

I'd say I'm surprised that this doesn't actually fit into the WFC/FOC continuity and doesn't cement them as Prime prequels like people insisted it would, but I'm really not.

eh, I can't wait to get my hands on some dinobots but the tf prime toys don't come out quick enough so I don't expect to see any dinobots for the prime show. what a shame.

My Sludge theory: He is dead.

This is all happening in Grimlock's head. He has been captured by Shockwave again and has this simulation running through his brain.

If UM doesn't show up in Prime, I'll be shocked. They're pushing him pretty hard with so many toys and now this.

Wonder if they'll come back to touch on the Sludge issue...

Also, if that is Blast Off, and it certainly looks enough like him, that attack doesn't HAVE to mean a kill, Transformers can survive a lot sometimes.

I hope it is all happening in Grimlock's head. I want these to be in continuity

If a medic got to him before he bled out he's fine. It didn't go through his spark like when Dreadwing was cored, or Breakdown torn apart.

Just assume the First Rule of Adventure Stories is in play. If you don't see an unambiguous corpse, and possibly not even then unless you see a doctor grimly shaking his head, the writers can always claim he never died. Or, they can always claim this was a generic with Blast Off's body type. (The First Rule certainly explains why Grimlock and Sludge are back in play.)

That's if they want Bruticus to play into a story again though. Considering that in Prime it's clear that most Transformers are war dead, it might just be a way to take Bruticus off the table.

Note that Blast Off would have probably either ended up on Cybertron or dead going by the end of "Fall of Cybertron."

Guys, relax. He's just stabbing the purple Blastoff from the US release. The SDCC version is fine on the surface of the Autobot ship kicking over bridges and stuff at this point. ;x)
And then getting his ro-butt kicked by Jazz.

Except that if that were true then Grimlock, Swoop, Snarl and Slug would be at a collapsed tower, Sludge would be in stasis-lock underground and even if they weren't at the tower anymore, Grimlock would be suffering from his low intelligence, which he clearly is not and, most importantly, there would be NO other transports because The Ark was the last and this is not something that could be overlooked as it must've been said about 50 times throughout the game.

From what we've seen, its pretty clear that this comic doesn't even SLIGHTLY fit into the WFC/FOC story, which is exactly what I thought would happen... WFC/FOC just simply cannot fit into Prime's continuity at all and this is just further evidence of it.

Wow. It seems I've become too calm a person. I'm actually waiting for the rest of the comic before passing judgment. I mean there is no possible way something that's supposed to fix continuity errors could actually fix it's own continuity errors in the rest of the comic.

Don't hold your breath. There are no continuity errors in the first place because the creators of WFC/FOC and Prime clearly do not intend for their works to be connected in any way. IDW are basically advertising something that is like trying to shove two jigsaw pieces that don't connect together and I'm just going to predict that it will end with more evidence that they're not supposed to go together then ever, which we've already seen signs of in the first five pages.

As much as I think the Aligned Continuity Family is pointless and stupid, I'll hold out hope this fixes it a bit. I doubt it's impossible.

In Exodus it was shown that the Autobots left behind the Wreckers to fight off the Decepticons and Alpha Trion volunteered to remain, plus in Exiles it was shown that several guys are still around on Cybertron other than the Wreckers, who were sometimes with Alpha Trion in his scenes.
