so far we only have details on the human cast. I guess it's pretty hard to think of robot characters for the movie.

Well, for the robot characters. We are certain Optimus and Bee are returning because it focuses on their adventure, but since it was mentioned TF4 will have a completly new cast. I wonder what will happen with characters such as Ratchet and Sideswipe.........

 

I've heard of Abbie Cornish. She's actually not a bad actress and is absolutely stunning too. Has anybody seen Limitless? Brilliant film.
I can't wait to see her bent over a Corvette. I might even watch the movie too.

It's intentional. It's just so systemic and ingrained in Hollywood (and society in general) that most people just don't question it. And the excuse, "But everyone else does it, so it's OK," well, is not OK.

Take what we can get, meaning bit parts and/or comedy relief for POC (people of color) characters. TF1 was probably the least offensive of the trilogy in terms of this issue, but even then the black characters were acting pretty hysterical for the sake of being over-the-top-hysterical (Epps had the most development but even he fell into the "AW HELL NAW" trope). ROTF; the Twins, nuff said; Leo was a punching bag character. DOTM, Ken Leung was doing his obnoxious Hangover routine for yucks. I suspect that since TF4 will take place heavily in Texas, Mexicans will be in the (comedic) spotlight in a bad way, call me cynical.

I hate this argument because it's no argument at all. "Don't be so sensitive." Telling us to just stop feeling a certain way about something? No, thanks. It shuts down any meaningful, thoughtful discussions about race in Hollywood, as if to say, this isn't important enough to talk about. Fut dat. Media is a very powerful tool, and it does have a profound way that people view and treat POCs as a result. Ask any POC kid from any school playground in the West. They'll tell you.

You know, I wouldn't mind the issue so much if there was a more balanced approach to the way Hollywood does its casting in regards to representing POCs. But then you have clusterfarks like The Last Airbender with the blatant whitewashing (for the love of god, I hope that Katara girl is not cast at all in TF4). And then people throw fits over Heimdall's race in Thor same as Nick Fury's character throughout the Marvel movies leading up to The Avengers (or the Kingpin in the Daredevil movie), or how Spiderman can never be non-white. But when the three leads in The Last Airbender were cast they were they were, most people don't even bat an eye. It's BS.

 

Kristen Steward is far too established as an actress for Bay.
