Same here. Hoping to pick it up on a gold box deal if lucky, around $50 would be nice. Color scheme is just too awful to justify that price.

As for APS-01, it is not a figure in the masterpiece line. Can people love it like a masterpiece? Yes. Move on.

 

Yah man,since it is not a figure in the MP line,what's with the high price,me also can't stop pondering over it.

 

I just got this yesterday. I love the chrome grill and the metallic paint job.

Got mine yesterday too. Why not do a better job with the rubber smokestacks? I mean they really look outta place, woulda been nice for somebody to come up with chrome ones like Ironhide. Also, what's up with his gun, does anybody have trouble with the gun not staying in his hand? It's like the handle isn't long enough or something. Imo, Buster Prime is still the best version of this mold. While mine is misb, buster has some nice touches that this doesn't & this has some that Buster doesn't either. Personally I will never use the shield as it looks terrible imo.

 

Bit the bullet two nights ago and placed my order for APS-01 from TFSource when I saw their stock was dwindling fast    . Huge fan of this figure, absolutely LOVE that the Striker mold is getting the Buster paint love (I passed on the original Striker because it had the dull paint) and a spiffy collector's box  

 

As cool as this is, i already have 2 ROTF Leader Primes I don't need another one.

I feel sorry for all the people who "Must OWn" every version of this mold.  

 

It looks awesome in hands but DAMN IT QC!

 

The shield looks good in mech tech mode or whatever but imo using the shield as an actual shield doesn't look too good. I prefer my ufo shield more. I tried taking the blades out and swapping them into my regular leader Prime but that didn't work.

 

Looks like Striker Prime cost Prime himself a limb too, so at least you're not the only one losing an arm and a leg to pay for it  

In all seriousness, I hope whoever you bought that from gives you a replacement without any hassle. That sucks.

 

Damn that sucks. Hope the retailer can do something about it. Maybe Optimus lost a foot in the war against Megatron? XD

I've got more than I have any good reason to own. Probably should have passed on this one (I think I may like Japanese Striker a bit better), but I loved the idea of him matching Buster. In fact I may put them together on display.

I've got both versions of Striker, Buster and the Jetfire/Buster Combo pack. I've also got a wonderful custom mod of Jetwing that blows all of them out of the water.

Of course the first ROTF Prime is floating around in pieces (I've been using him for paint tests- he's a joke compared to what followed). I may get a second DMK Prime and replace the abs with the ROTF truck front off leader Prime. It really bugs me that my nicest Primes (Custom and DMK) are both based off DMK when I like the original design at least as much.


I am definitely pleased with this figure.

 

I know what you mean because mine had part of that switch which makes Optimus talk chipped off.
