You guys are CRAZY. Perceptor is easily, and I mean easily, the WORST Classics figure I have. And I'm pretty easy going, heck I like most of the Prime figs.

 

Hmmm. So is United Swindle going to be a redeco of Henkei/Classics Hound then? Not sold on Hardhead being a redeco of Warpath; I'd rather get the 3P version of the guy (much more geewun accurate). Reflector being a Perceptor redeco is also a pass; PE-11 Scouting Force X remains my definitive G1 Reflector trio.

I forgot about the Hound mold as a possible mold for Swindle, I hope he gets a "Scatter blaster" gun in place of the cassette Ravage mold. I assume he is up for a new noodle any way.

 

I will be getting any of these that are a "classic" style mold. I personally like the Perceptor mold, and although I have a couple of the Walmart Hardheads with headrobots upgrades, I'll take another version of the Warpath mold. Really hoping we get Hound as Swindle.

 

Takara will have 3 classics lines selling at the same time: United (this), Henkei (Ultra Magnus), and Generations (FOC). They are basically scattering their own brand. They need to re-release Perceptor, as it is the most valuable of the United toys selling at over $70 in many places.

 

Ultra Magnus was United. For all we know he and Artfire are the last of United (both are released before Generations is going to be out). Artfire comes out in December.

As for these releases, they might be United, they might not be. They might be listed as United and actually Generations.

One thing to consider is too, that these might not be coming out in Japan (they may just be Asian releases) so Takara might not be as concerned with labeling them under their upcoming Generations label in favor of United (which is just the PCC and some exclusives at the moment).

I gbought a loose United Perceptor for around $20 from a fine board member here.

I scored a carded one on ebay for $15  . He does need to be reissued though. One of my favorite figures despite what others say. I love the Robot Mode.

 

I might get Hardhead to convert into Gutcruncher. Swindle from Universe Hound is nice, but I would prefer Junkion Detritus (with Howlback from Ravage). Not as interested in Reflector, I'd go for Magnificus though!

 

Yeah I'd love to see an ehobby set pressed while the regular figures are being made. Magnificus, howlback, detritus...

Exclusives aside, maybe they're just calling the FOC stuff "Generations" in Japan, and all the Earth mode stuff will remain "United"?

 

As for Hardhead from Warpath, the hull of the tank sits somewhere between both f their original altmodes. All Hardhead really needs (as far as we are remotely likely to get from HasTak) is for the main gun to be gutted, the gap in the turret capped over and maybe one of the shoulder weapons beefed up. At the Deluxe size though, I would be surprised if they even humoured the notion of making a functional Headmaster gimmick.

 

I was hoping to get Warpath with the new head as Quake...

I can't tell if the alternate Lugnut head has a cyclops eye or a clown nose.

 

I hope this means a Hasbro version is coming. not impossible anyway.

as for hardhead well the other verson didnt come out here so i didnt get the upgrade set to be honest i will get this

reflector i will use him as reflector i have PE verson and the will be there seprate named characters SPECTRO , SPYGLASS , VIEWFINDER lol
