Holy Crap. I didn't mean all of that!
But honestly, I do think there's a culture, and therefore people who fall in line with that culture. Why watch the show every week just to complain about it?

I loved the game Marvel vs Capcom 2.
I was horribly disappointed in Marvel vs Capcom 3.
At some point I realized my own complaints were becoming redundant and I was interfering with the people who liked the game and just wanted to talk about it.

So I bowed out of the conversation.

And in regards to "MacGuffins" I think that at this point they're just plot points in the show. They are so intrinsic to the overall story arc now, that it's kind of like criticizing The X-files for all its MacGuffins.

    It's the Batwing of TFP.
I remember every time Batman showed up in the Batwing in Justice League I would count the seconds until it crashed.

Well, remember how Bulkhead got shot in the back and he died and everyone was super shocked?

Though I still find it funny he's not even been glimpsed. You'd think they'd be pushing the bold return of the uber-swordsman with his ScootyPuff Sr., yet we haven't even seen an inch of him.

While I'm sure such a thing exists, just like people who support the show for shallow reasons, blinding themselves to any faults and latching on to it's various memes and in-jokes exist along side those who genuinely like it for what it is. Disagree with them sure, debate with them absolutely, but don't just lump them together under one harsh generalization. I don't think every Prime supporter is a rabid tumblr-trolling creep posting Knock Out slashfic. Not even close, even if such people do really exist. Because that would be unreasonable.

I wouldn't know, because I don't. I stopped watching after Human Factor. However, I do still read the forums and watch the previews just in case I see something that brings me back, and I'm perfectly entitled to comment on that.

Also, that frustration you feel towards people complaining about the show? That's what I feel about the show itself. Every week it's dissapointment. I love Transformers more than any property and watching it fail, from a critical standpoint, depresses me. That feeling exists no matter if I watch the show or not.

True it is, but it's not like criticizing it is wrong because of that. If the upsetting issue is intrinsic to the plot, that merely makes it worse in the eyes of critics, since now the show is locked in an inescapable hold by this poor direction.

    Ha! Too true.

    RIP every Batwing ever.

They're probably still mad at him for what happened in Hurt, which is really stupid to still be at this point. yeah If I was Optimus I'd be calling Wheeljack over every week just because a little back up never hurts.

Thank you. Walking into certain threads in the middle of certain conversations a guy would think there was something chemically wrong with them in their head for enjoying a show. Sometimes people take their arguments too far in either direction :dunce

Personally I find the show a lot of fun and don't personally care about the faults since it's a show I watch with my nephew and we both have a blast playacting along with the toys and some of the characters are amusing. :drunk

That'd be some madly unfair favourtism if that's the case considering how many times Arcee's gone rogue and been allowed back into the fold.

arcee never endangered a kid though ( not counting orion pax cause jack had to go ). Or maybe team prime just like having a girl around lol. But it still would seem kinda weird not to bring along a guy with a ship full of missiles and explosives with two katanas.

Actually, there was that episode (Metal Attraction) where Miko snuck up behind her and Bulkhead and instead of calling a space bridge, she let Miko stay because of Miko not wanting to go back to June's overprotectiveness and since Arcee was hurt that June didn't trust her with protecting Jack that she allowed Miko to stay. Wow...that was spiteful. :D

Sorry, I am rewatching that episode right now. XDD

Arcee never found out that there any Decepticon activity going around at the time so she allowed Miko to hang around for a while. Once she knew she had Miko go back. Arcee still keeps her resolved to protect the kids from the Decepticons and that time she figured there wasn't any to endanger Miko around.

Hey guys, remember the Spark Extractor? Reeeaaaally hoping someone remembered to bring the Spark Extractor. That'd be, like, a pretty big oversight if that doesn't come up again.

    Spark Extractor, anyone?

I'm a new member here, so I can't speak to actually coming online to complain about it on a weekly basis. But as someone who keeps watching despite being continually disappointed, I can say this: I like the show enough to wish it were better, and I keep watching every week in the hopes that I'll be pleasantly surprised. Because when it was good, it was very good.

Can't wait to see what uses they have for all the relics. This is the pinnacle of season two for a reason. All the relics leading to their full potential in an epic clash for a last gasp attempt to restore cybertron. I've been waiting for this since the end of Orion pax

Sorry if my optimism on this episode's quality is getting in the way of your monotonic complaining

Hey It's a cartoon an awesome one at that! It could be worse than not having any show!!! The T.P crew are doing a hell of a job. I'm just sad the season is getting ready to end.
And I would'nt count Wheel Jack from showing up and thats why we all watch, cuz it's awesome!

Wait, who has that one again? If the Autobots have it, why haven't they used it? I mean, they tried before, and if it's the Decepticons, well...

Unless it was destroyed and I missed it/forgot about it.

Very well said. Generally the people who harp on the show are people who did like it at one point.

Case in point to an earlier statement of mine about hypocritical snarky posters: this quote.

There's always those people on both sides. Those people who just handwave arguements aside with snide remarks rather than directly confront the issue with intelligent conversation.

Also, the only people I ever see get bothered by opposite opinions are the supporters, so you're little remark kind of backfires when it's always people who like the show complaining about the complaining. I don't think I've ever seen a thread where the first post was about someone being fed up with how cheerful and optimistic discussion is.

I hope Dreadwing is the one that gave the Autobots the Forge. Even if he doesn't officially join the Bots by the end of the season, by taking a move such as that is enough for me!

The Autobots still have the Spark Extractor. In Flying Mind they tried to use it but were immobilized by the Nemesis. Megatron wanted to go get it, but the ship wouldn't let him.

It never made sense to me since the ship said it was going to collect the Iacon relics and the Spark Extractor is one.

Usually what I want to occur doesn't happen. I would like to see Wheeljack in the last two episodes and for Dreadwing to join the Autobots. Maybe he gives them the Forge in next episode and joins them in the last episode.

seems the star saber is back. Kinda digging it honestly but I am starting to realize that this is very He-Man Masters of the universe-ish.

Star Sabre / Dark Star Sabre, if they end up combining into the ultimate sword I wont be surprised. its like unicron and primus lol Primacron .. oh wait that was a character.
