Spending 3,000 yen or more at Bic Camera stores earns you a postcard to enter into a draw for a special chrome version of First Edition Arcee. Draw entry closes 2 / 3 December, the actual drawing takes place in Jan 2013. Limited run of 25 pieces.

There's also reports of other stores giving out postcards, no word as yet if they are for the same prize or if, say, a chromed Bumblebee or Cliffjumper is also available.

 

Huh. That's actually a pretty neat looking figure.

 

Pretty interesting but I prefer the PRID version. Nifty paint job though.

 

The blue chrome looks way better than the gold they always use.

Lovely colouring- shame it's so limited - but I also prefer the P-R.I.D. & Arms Micron versions though.

It would have been great if they had made it in similar numbers to Micron Legend Scourge for example.

Lovely paint job, and I dig the FE mold despite its inaccuracies to the show model. Doubtful I'd ever win something like this but guess it couldn't hurt to try and enter.

I own every release of this mold so far--I must have this one next! She will be mine...oh yes...she will be mine!

That's actually a nice new take on a Lucky Draw, rather than doing it in all gold or silver chrome. I wouldn't mind owning this, but I'm not going to hunt it down by any means either. Still, cool.

Are the first edition figures rare? I have Arcee and Cliffjumper I bought while in Singapore and I can't find any of them around here for sale back in the states. What the hey hey?

 

The FEs are kind of a long story. Long story short...they were rare in the US, but with an upcoming TRU release (finally), they hopefully won't be...with the exception of the normal Cliffjumper, who is not included in the current FE release at TRU (neither is Bumblebee).
