Wait. Since critics get paid to judge a movie that instantly makes their opinion more credible? By that logic, Michael Bay gets paid to make movies so that must make him a more credible film maker than any anonymous poster on a message board.

No, the original discussion stemmed from you calling Bay awful and a hack. I merely challenged the fact that your opinion was not shared by as many people as you may have thought. And that there was hard evidence to back this, IE Box Office results, validation by his peers and audience ratings.

 

Assertion A: Michael Bay is a poor film director.

Assertion B: only a small number of people believe Assertion A.

Please explain how Assertion A is now false as a result of Assertion B.

 

Again, Freud, it was the hyperbole used to describe his opinion of Bay's directing talents that led us down this path. Not anyone's ability to think as an individual.

With that, I bid a fond farewell to this thread and I look forward to picking up this discussion in 2014 after TF has, once again, eclipsed the $1 Billion mark even though the director is terrible and the majority of highly trained critics find it unwatchable.
