Yeah, I'm kinda heartbroken. I was hoping mass production would make this REAL cheap. $55 to upgrade ONE WRECKGAR or ONE JUNKHEAP? That's alot to make a junkion more pretty. Who's making these, CrazyDevy?

$55 puts you a bit on your way to owning some NEAT stuff.... like a Henkei Magnus, or an MP Sideswipe, or TWO Beelzeboss kits.

At $55 a set? They'd better think it over and have a looooong talk about costs before they make too many more of these.

 

I thought I read that these were still resin productions and not exactly mass-produced items. If these are resin and completely fabricated and painted by hand then the price tag makes sense.

 

If that's true then I apologize, I could have sworn there was a factory and everything involved. I thought there were even pictures of like "guess which one was painted by hand and which one was the factory" at one point.

But yes, if these are still being hand made then $55 is great.

 

I think there's a factory involved, but in China "factory" can sometimes mean: converted garage with six people and a can of paint. Having been through southern China I've seen up close very large factories and a few tiny operations (but never toured one of the garage operations; I wish).

The only difference -- if what I read is correct -- between the past and now with this is that instead of one person hand-casting/crafting every part it's now a small team of people doing the same thing.

Just got a shipping notice for this. I guess I was a few hours too early in asking about it.

I would love to get more styles of these to deck out the extra few hasbro Wreck-Gars I picked up to make as Junkion troops. Takaras Wreck-Gar I'll be keeping original as I see it being the definitive version of the character.

It'll be great replaying the seen from '86 using the classics & 3rd party figures!
