I just saw the Transformers episode of Toy Hunter that featured the Bumblejumper figure. I nearly threw my mobile phone through the television at these two guys. Neither Pete nor Jordan had any idea about the value of the Transformers shown. The Minibots being worth $30 a piece? On what planet?! I sell most of the Minibots in good condition with their tech specs for less than $16-$18 including shipping. And that's a competitive price! The only "common" Minibot that sells for $30 is Bumblebee, and that's if it's yellow, in good condition and has the tech spec.

As to that Bumblejumper - what a silly price point. That Thunderwing, if it was complete, is worth way more. Depending on market availability, it retails complete between $220-$270. It goes for more if you open it up to the international market.

Every episode of this Toy Hunter show that I've watched has ticked me off in some way. As a guy who makes a living selling toys (mostly Transformers and Power Ranger Megazords), Jordan is usually waaaaaay off. Either he's going after toys that have no market appeal and collect dust, or he's overpricing items far beyond their value. I can only hope this show is canceled.

Yeah, they wanted to go through a lot of my stockroom to go through boxes but told me they wouldn't mention the store name.

Hope you had fun despite the "creative edits" (And I've heard plenty about those from people on Toy Hunters and Collector Intervention.)

I finally saw the most recent episode - the one with the Kenner prototypes. I was shocked to see Don - the guy who had that barn full of toys in Cincinnati. He used to have a booth/store at a flea market where I bought a few of my vintage G1 bots. It was crazy seeing him on tv - what a small world!

No, he got really bent out of shape that I made it known I wasn't willing to part with my Micronauts or Shogun Warriors. Did the same with one of my regulars and his Mego collection....since you'd have to pry his rarest of the rare from his cold, dead hands as well they decided to skip us.
