    We hate your scarcasm! :)

As much as I hate the wait, this should allow more time to save up. I highly doubt the star selling flagship would sell out especially at $100-

Exactly. It'll take some time for that to happen. Hasbro will make more because this is Optimus, their flagship character.

Supposedly someone said it's gonna see a Sept release in the other thread... not sure how correct that is, but I hope it is!

Well shouldn't they already be on the boat on the way? How many weeks does that take? Then they have to be inventoried and distributed. I think Sept is still doable. Thundercracker was supposed to be Oct. At this rate he might show up for Dec.

Sorry, HnH, I can't help you with the masterpiece Optimus prime, it is retailing at SGD269.95 at my local TRU, price is too high that I am not even intend to get one for myself at that kind of pricing. I might even be able to get it cheaper if I order from USA and ship to Singapore.

I can't take credit for the joke, it's been used once before on this thread.

I posted this in the other Prime Thread but I have a feeling that the $100 is going to change to $140 or so by the time Prime makes it to the states. I can in no way confirm that number and won't go into the story behind it but just bracing some of you for the worst and hoping I'm wrong.

Actually I'm expecting the worse should the retail be at $140- If that is the case, then I might as well get the Takara version or wait until it goes on sale

    XE states 1 USD = 1.24394 SGD.

Although at that price, it does make once reconsider the Takara option.

Hopefully they will start showing up soon. I contacted Hasbro about when they would be available and this was the response I received.

That puts it at about $215 US dollars...f that. If I'm gonna pay that much might as well just spend the extra $55 and get the Takara version. Although I was thinking there is no way TRU would charge over $120 for this..hahaha Have you seen what the new Star Wars At-Ats are selling for? $150 USD :/

For those saying they'll rather get the Takara version rather than the Hasbro one if there's a close price, is it because the local price is close to the original Japan SRP (as opposed to local price of Hasbro's being double of the US one) or is it because it's a better figure? Because they are the same figure (yes diff deco, with many pointing out the Hasbro one as being the preferred one), with the Takara one not really offering a clear advantage in terms of extras like say MP09 vs Hot Rod, or even the doing away of vac metal in MP01 vs 20th Anniv Prime. I guess what I'm saying is, does the product being a Takara version justify a much higher price despite being practically the same figure? I mean, the usual Takara figures have some sort of upgrade (chrome, metallic paint, more cartoon accurate deco etc), but this one doesn't.

Personally I don't think TT version justify a higher price over the Hasbro ver. In the end, its just a matter of affordability and preference between the slight color differences.

I have doubles of all the TT MPs and Hasbro MP except for MP-10 which I feel was just over priced even if its anew mold and lack of die-cast like the MP-04

Yeah, Prime V2 is kind of tough between Hasbro and TTomy. The only thing I see MP10 has over Hasbro is the gray Roller which is cartoon accurate and the silvering paint inside the trailer which look nicer.

I already have MP10 in display, but will definitely be getting the Hasbro version also and leave it as MISB just because I love the mold. Also Hasbro Prime lighter blue eyes looks more cartoon accurate than TTomy. The yellow paint at the top of roof cab near the front is also TFTM accurate and same as MP1.

I'll value the TT version more mainly cos of the darker blue used on the OP and the silvering on the trailer, that silvering really makes a difference to me. I am not a masterpiece collector, but one day I was outside a toy shop with the MP-10 on display, the thing that caught my eyes was not the OP itself but the great amount of details on the internal of the trailer. In fact at that time, the trailer was displayed in the trailer mode with the back doors of the trailer open and the ramp let down, and I looked in and saw such great silvering details inside the trailer and I was totally blown off. Searched out the youtube reviews on it and subsequently bought the TT MP-10 not too long after. I don't really mind the MP-10 not having the die cast, in fact I think it did this figure a favour with better poseability.

This masterpiece mold is just excellent, the best OP mold this far in my opinion. I'll like to get the Hasbro version for more frequent play while the TT version in display most of the time. Unfortunately the way Singapore TRU priced it now is way way overpriced compared to its price from HongKong, add a few tens more, you can actually get a re-issue of the TT version. I would do that if I do not own any MP-10. So I am now waiting for this item go on discount before buying. I am not in the rush or hurry to get it as I already got the MP-10. Getting this Hasbro version is just an added bonus to me for my collection.

And well, cartoon accurate roller vs cartoon accurate eyes on OP, I'll choose the roller anytime. It is easier to paint the eyes if I really want to than to paint up the whole roller.
