Yeah, but looking at his head size, it doesn't feel all that out of scale. Head appears to be sized like a Deluxe/Voyager head, which implies that he's just a massively armored character.

    Agree.
If we look at Sixshot's size in IDW spotlight, he must be that big. He is an one man army, I will be disappointed if he is not big. I think G1 toy is even bigger, MC just does Sixshot justice. He will fit in my classics collection.

    Except when he is.

Not that the fiction's all that consistent in those regards.

Cyclops looks all purple in that video. He's shiny and dark, which is better than the two tone grey and purple. A purple Shock and a grey Shack repaint would be sweet. I have been waiting since the first reveal for Cyclops.

Hexatron's size means he may be nearly as expensive as Cyclops. Hopefully he will be affordable once preorders show up. He remains on the top of the want list.

I think the larger scale is one of the major appeals of Hexatron and Cyclops.

Hasbro barely do anything but Deluxes of an increasingly small scale these days so once again a 3rd party group has stepped up and are about to deliver a couple of characters at a scale that does them justice.

I'd also like to see MMC or another group make a decent sized Thunderwing, Black Shadow and Overlord as their recent official releases were all pathetic.

From the production piece they gave me to display at the Third Party, his color is indeed a very deep, rich metallic purple. The lighter "topside" parts of the ship are grey (for the dark accent bits), and what I would describe best as a silver with a hint of purple in it.

Was it different from the color scheme of the robot mode on your site (Captured Prey)? The silver-purple from the top of the hull to the top of the ship is less appealing than a mostly to completely metallic / reflective purple.

...ugh... just realized that these two figures won't be mine any time soon... considering that combined it'll be around 350$... *cries*

Also... why do I keep envisioning him with a Tidal Wave head instead? *smh*

Both these figures are sick! Really looking forward to the release of Hexatron, those 6 alt modes are beyond awesome and very Headmasters-esque! :D

After looking at the price for green Giant, Cyclops feels like a bargain.

Seconded but they all need there original gimmicks resorted, Thunderwing and Blackshadow have to be mega pretenders and Overlord a duo con (could live without the power masters though). And with a bit more re tooling I think Thunderwing could make quite a passable star saber as well.

This looks pretty cool, but price, and reviews (mostly price) will be the determining factor for me.

I can't help thinking a heavily retooled Maketoys Mobine could make a fantastic Overlord.

i wonder if i will put this hexatron with my classics or masterpiece decepticons? id want him to be bigger than the mp seeker mold as a masterpiece, from what i hear he wont be THAT big.

so it looks like he's another reason to hang on to my "classics" decepticons. he will be quite a bit bigger than hegemon though, right. i gotta look at those pics again...

Sixshot is supposed to be huge both in the IDW and in the Japanese Headmasters continuity. So it's not a big deal if he's leader sized,, he can fit well among classics.

i just found a mmc blog that said he was 8.5 inches, thats right around the 21 or 22 centimeter mark. sounds perfect for my classics collection and very close to city commander height.

Great, so it should be shorter than Cyclops, right? I hope it's not over the $120 mark...
