Yeah I don't think the difference is going to be a deal-breaker to anyone contemplating MP-12!

I haven't been this excited about the Masterpiece line for a long time though. I thought Sideswipe would be it for this year, and then we get hit by MP-13! Good times  

 

I think it's awesome Sidewipe will be roughly the size of alt skids.

no worries, I kind of had the idea as other people sort of wrote similar things. It's just motivation for me to stop slacking my Prime episode watching! My DVR is full with season 2.

 

I havent posted in around a year.. but had to. Has it not dawned on anyone that Sideswipe could be repainted into G1 Breakdown? They have the same alt and transform virtually the same. Just need to be able to flip the hood behind his back and pop on a different head. His size would be good for a G1 Menasor.

It was Cybertroncon indeed, and it was TakaraTomy who revealed the mould if I remember correctly, which makes sense. I don't think it was introduced as specifically Asian exclusive, but as something TakTom could show off as theirs. If anyone knows about this better let us know!
That's the worst scenario I can think of, Breakdown being the Asia exclusive, but still I don't think he'll be Japan only as some implied.

The "Japan original" info is in the magazine scan they posted, as well as "advance release" I quoted  

 

But the high price tag just can't justify the size.

 

I think $100 for him is fine. Cost of production materials have fine up, stop price is going to follow. However the idea of a G1 styled box I would think would be for the US release, so price for it in the States will probably be lower anyway, and that's with the idea that he's even GETTING a release here.

 

Sideswipe is roughly 2/3 the size of the other MP's, so therefore it's roughly 2/3 the price as the other MP's.

Seems fair to me.
