Sadly, going off the comic, rather than using the opportunity to make a new Jhiaxus, they seem to be using the previously released Universe deco.

Why not, say, make one from Terradive?

This was asked at the TFCC comic panel.

They wanted to avoid "signaling" that there was a Jhiaxus figure in the works, while keeping to their editorial philosophy of telling stories using existing toys.

As for why there's no plans for a new Jhiaxus, who knows, it's just not on their table right now.

 

That's a fair answer - glad someone asked that.

Pity we aren't getting a Jhiaxus update though. But that Depth Charge from Terradive fills the "do something with this mold" gap nicely.

 

You mean how we saw Over-Run from the Energon Bulkhead mold and still don't have a toy? Or let's not forget Hellbat, Gaihawk, and Hooligan! I would love to own toys of all of these...

@Thundershot: Yeah, they probably see "teases" like that as a mistake they'd like to avoid in future. I also think the TC/Galvatron two-pack was an effort to cram in characters that they had already "teased."

I think that Depth Charge fig is super neat. I THINK that it has a Maximal logo? I would have actually preferred making the character older so he could have been an Autobot before. I don't have any Dawn of Future's Past stuff so...may not keep the character around forever.

 

Should I be worried?

 

Finally got around to reading this issue... The Shattered Glass Animated in the Allspark Almanac was awesome... Is this a long set up for a 2013 Botcon set?

 

I thought the issue was pretty cool for the whole 16 pages of a "magazine" it is. The features are nice. I just wished there were more of them.

 

Still no issue... when it the date that if we don't have it by we should ask the club?

 

^ Mine just came yesterday, so I'd wait a bit before asking about it.
