I'd be happy to have just ONE.

But I guess I'd have to win a lottery to afford it now...

Nope, last year's was the worst set, followed by the Dawn of Future's Past, and those two will reign as the worst unless FP does another Animated or Beast Wars themed set.

2007 was best, then 2009, then a tie with 2012 and 2008, with everything else below that.

    This explains it quite nicely.

Are you going by aftermarket value or just interest in characters?

I heard FP say they wouldn't use any AEC moulds this year - I guess they got tired of people complaining about Landshark and Flak.

But it's not like there's anything else 1st party suitable to make Constructicons out of - if Hasbro actually cared to use those moulds I wouldn't need to mention it.

I just notice that the price they charge for a Deluxe isn't much different from a Voyager and so the Voyagers end up as better value for money in my view.

I think the available moulds will be limited for use from Prime for a while, and is there really a huge desire for Prime repaints anyway ? What with the show having few clone or similar body designs in it. Yes they could make a Flamewar Deluxe or do something with Bulkhead - but I can't say I'm brimming with excitement at the prospect. You'd have to get a bit creative like making FE Bumblebee into jackpot for example or making a Prime Universe Slicer.

They have to get into doing things like making a Leozack out of Dreadwing's Voyager to get my interest. and can you imagine the ruck if there was a FE Starscream as Thundercracker toy as a show exclusive ??

I suppose it's possible the AEC moulds are not available any more, but I have to ask myself this what is going to please me more AEC remoulds and repaints or random use of Movie moulds leftovers ?

I can't see them being able to do a lot with the Videogame designs either unless Hasbro make some generic body types like Bluestreak or the like to start from.

And I think Detritus might be off limits otherwise wouldn't he have been made by now ? (instead of Scorch even).

Personally I'd be quite happy to see a Thundercracker and Sunstorm Voyager of some kind be it from a Prime mould or from a Cybertron or Armada mould.

But I will admit unless they have a much faster turn around on what moulds they can use then I'm wondering what they can do for 2013 ?

What do you lot think they might want to use baring in mind they've now used most of the classicverse moulds. And some of those moulds may not even be usable any more (such as Mirage).

TF Prime, Animated or something else.
Or just rinse and repeat with the same Classicverse moulds again.

I can only say they will have to try their arm with Prime toys as quickly as possible or go back to using AEC moulds again.

The advantage of AEC (and some movie toys) is at least it offers the option of using some of the scouts - so there's a potential for Rumble & Frenzy, or Tailgate. or some sort of repaint of Hubcap.

So perhaps the way to go is to use left over (offscreen ) Movie toys ?

Even though as I do oft say my preference is for Cybertron moulds as they are nice moulds and look very nice with Classicverse in general. as well as having the added bonus of Micron compatibility.

$100 is pretty common rate for an attende toy so the fact that these aren't even hiring that on the first night is a sign these won't be holding there value

Has it been confirmed that Straxus is based on the crazy German comic colour scheme for him?

It looks pretty identical, spookily so. If so, it goes from being a bit boring to being absolutely awesome!

There a poor shot from the cabinet in another thread and it look OK in those - a bit bright perhaps but it can almost pass as Bigshot too.

I heard from a friend who works at the club that this is indeed true!
