Not likely. If places like BBTS still have stock, they won't increase the price just because a photo gallery or a new figure hits the market.

Ditto, but it is not likely. Places like BBTS are used to sitting on inventory. Something like Stepper will likely never see a huge drop unless... Hasbro releases a Generations version which everyone will grab and possible forget about shelling out the dough for the Takara version. Then BBTS would lower the price since an item difficult to move becomes even more difficult.

Then again, it's just wishful thinking.

 

Hopefully because a lot of the collectors seems have not get this yet due to the high price

 

According to an email I received from Bodhar, Stepper was perhaps one of the most popular exclusives yet though, so I'd not recommend holding off for too long on getting one. TFSource has their Steppers on sale at the moment, not the huge reduction some of you are after though I fear.

As much as I want Stepper and Artfire, It's just way too much to spend. At least for me anyway. Maybe if I win the lottery or something...

 

that settles it...have decide in getting Stepper next month. I dont care how much it costs. It shall be mine before Artfire arrives.  

 

I know how you feel. My wife and I took a beating in taxes this year and I feel guilty enough chasing the couple of priorities I have permission to pursue. A couple hundred on exclusives isn't gonna happen unless I dump some other stuff first.

 

Stepper is on my list for higher cost Botcon items. Not sure I will be able to resist if I see it in person.

And now that I think of it, and if the rumor list is true, I could end up with three more versions of this mold by next weekend.  

 

Hasbro just needs to stop the repaints and het with the program. Third party companies are reaping the loot on transformers and accessories hasbro choese not to make.

 

Uhm. Because a Takara Japanese exclusive repaint was Hasbro's doing?  


Repaints have been, and will always be, part of Transformers.

 

Not to mention, this one was actually a repaint that had a fair bit of fan demand driving behind it - Stepper was a repaint of Jazz in G1 and a lot of people wanted a Stepper from the new Jazz for Classics.

 

yeah, that too. but why the sudden demand and 'uber cool'/ wanted status (for United Stepper) from fans who didn't like or felt indifferent to the original??

So far from being correct. 3rd parties might be making themselves some cash and that is mainly thanks to the collector scene. But reaping loot they are not. Clearly you have no knowledge of how much earnings Takara/Hasbro makes off of Transformers products. Repaints are a major factor since it cuts cost so they will continue to do it.

This is probably very true. Seems like since Artfire was announced then shown Stepper interest rose with it; or well at least forum chatter about him.

 

That seems to be the case..which makes me doubt that I can wait and pick Stepper up for atleast less than the intial asking price like previous Millions exclusives.

Slightly on a tangent..when are we going to get a domestic Jazz redeco as a major retail release? And what may that be..how far-fetched is a Generations Ricochet with without a targetmaster?
