He was called Nemesis Prime in the English dub. But, in Japan, they called him Scourge. Normally that wouldn't really matter on our end of things. But, since the show was produced in Japan.... Well, I don't know. I think I just confused myself...
Why do I have this feeling that we're going to see what's essentially Lex Flippin' Luthor piloting a Masterforce transector in this episode? They are MECH after all.
Since Silas is voiced by the same guy who voiced the JL and JLU Lex Luthor, opposes Optimus, who is red and blue like Superman, who is opposed by Lex......I will not be surprised.
If Spoiler Nemesis Prime becomes his own character, I will squee and shed many man-tears. Although I have the horrible feeling that this will all get resolved in one or two episodes as per usual Prime tradition.
Maybe We'll get the first edition Prime repainted? It'd be a good way to make the figure available here and it would be in even higher demand than the normal first edition voyager figure. My opinion at least.
Mech is turning out to be a very intriguing new faction. I'm hoping this Nemesis Prime becomes a recurring character under Mech. Hopefully Mech gets a lot more 'special personnel' under their banner.
Haha, many could say - and have said they knew/anticipated it, the real point of contention seems to be how? Both of these are perfectly reasonable expectations or hypothesis from a large and growing list and alot of these theories would work in combination. At least with the new episodes coming out quickly and consistently - touch wood - we, don't have to rely solely on conjecture for our fix of Transformers: Prime news; there's a few episodes to occupy us in the short interim! That's a good way of looking at it. Not to sound like I know all nor nothing about TF lore but one would hope the writers and creative team at large keeps plenty up their sleeves even for season three at least. I mean, there are numerous threats or environs to explore just drawing on homages from previous TF franchises, let alone more original thoughts, but let's look at Unicron for example. He could have been portrayed either incompletely or as too weak for his status. Having introduced him relatively early in the show - saying that with some hindsight RE knowing we get S3 - Unicron might overshadow some/any villains that follow, some fans probably feel those things. We'll just have to see how things pan out, which suits me fine.
Hmmm Nemesis Prime could this possibly be a foreshadowing of the return of Unicron ? Hopefully not...
My feelings exactly. I want him to become a creepy anti-Optimus who knows all his weaknesses and has a brilliant intellect. Kind of like Venom to Spiderman or Bane to Batman. I've wanted a Nemesis Prime character for awhile.
You know this was a theory I had ever since MECH first showed up. That still doesn't mean I hate it though. He really hasn't got a chance to shine yet in animation since most of the shows he was in were crap. He's also built by humans which never happened to my knowledge.
