Well, I think G.I.Joe/Transformers is dumb too. Most crossovers are dumb.

And again, I do not beleive for one second the IDW told you that. If they did, it was probably just to patronize you and dismiss you. But even if they were planning it at any point, it is bad business sense to openly discuss a plan that fell through because, if they are still interested in doing it, publicly discussing it might piss off the other party!

 

When my computer was attacked by a virus years back, I lost the email. IDW did email me about this. I emailed them back and asked them if they wanted me to share their email. They told me they preferred I didn't for some time. So I respected their wishes and didn't say anything for the longest time. I wish I had that email to show you, but I don't. I don't think they were partronizing. They are just nice people who like to keep in touch with their fans.

I don't consider that a cross over as it has been established as a single, unified universe. The whole intention of these films since Iron Man has been to establish a live action continuity where these characters coexist. If, instead, they had developed these franchises seperately and then, on a whim, decided to try and shoe horn everything together, then yes, I would consider it a crossover and would think it is dumb.

Now, if they tried to make a Batman/Ironman film, I would say yes, that is dumb.

 

If you don't believe me, that's your choice. I'm telling you the truth. I personally don't care if you don't believe me. The only thing I care about is the fact that IDW, to my joy, was willing to do a TF/XF crossover. They obviously felt it was a worthy effort that would sell comics. If you feel otherwise, well that's your choice.

As for an XF/TF crossover not being established, well most crossovers aren't, but people find a way, sometimes creatively, to make them seem established.

That's right. I'm chosing not to believe a random person who is insisting something far fetched online. For my next trick, I'll be not putting my hand in a fire.

And yes, most crossovers aren't and so the producers have to find ways to make it work. I'll agree that they can be very creative, but most of the time, it is just silly shoe horning and begging people to not notice that Superman and Batman are suddenly fighting a Predator and an Alien and a Terminator. And even the creative ones are usually poor quality.

 

Sorry Spunky but a crossover such as "X-Files" and "Transformers" would be ridiculous and I don't think they emailed you back saying it was a good idea. They pay writers for this and if it has not happened after all these years then I don't think it will ever.

I'm thinking we will see some new footage not at the Superbowl but on Superbowl Sunday of season 2.

 

Will we get to see Optimus attack his own team when I finally trick him?

 

I think Soundwave will actually say something before Arcee uses the groundbridge to exit the Decepticon warship. I don't know what he'll say, (and for some reason I can hear Steven Blum's voice coming out of his mouth) but it's just a hunch I've got.

there wasa picture of optimus standing alongside megatron soundwave starscream and a vehicon with optimus wearing the con insginai. but it had his original red, silvery white and blue original colorscheme sort of color muted ,shaded, lightened and darkened to make him look like he stole shattered glass optimus primes colorscheme

i think it was one of the teaser pictures hasbro put up for season 2 earlier in this month but prime was definately giving off that nemesis prime vibe in the picture
