It was hard to miss Bonecrusher considering you crash into him, and Starscream, yeah... he throws you into a building or two.

    Re: Sideways, here's the thing...

In the pre-ride portion of the area, you pass all these screens, and one of the sequences is Wheelie doing a voiceover of all known Decepticons in the area, while the screen shows... I guess you could call it "skeletal/grid" scans of each Con.

When it came to Sideways, his 'scan' was actually Sideswipe's silhouette. There is no way those pointy arm-blades belong to any other bot.

Yet in that scene with Bumblebee, I'm pretty sure I saw the police markings on the Con that attacked him, which is why I think I yelped "Barricade!!" on the ride.

And Bumblebee of course ;)  Yeah, that's about it.

And I guess it's Welker then.

So how similar is it really to the Spider-Man ride in Orlando? Cuz in that one your vehicle actually drives around a track that's a combination of 3D CG screens, and live sets. And you ARE actually traveling. Or is it more like the Star Wars ride at Disney, where it's 100% simulated motion?

I've never been on the Spiderman ride, but I would say yes, the cars do move around a track and you do get some physical elements like the heat, smoke, even splashed with a few drops of water when a bot's fuel line gets yanked.

I've ridden both spider-man attractions (Universal Studios Japan, and Orlando), the ride system is nearly identical. Transformers uses upgraded next generation technology that is based on the Spider-man ride. The major differences is that Transformers takes place on two different levels (meaning its two stories), and Spider-Man is on a single level. The experience it self will be same, you move on a track riding a motion simulator moving from screen to screen with some set pieces and effects helping to blend the boundaries of each screen. Even the ride vehicles are nearly identical to the Spider-Man ride, just with a slightly different front end and repainted to look like EVAC.

I submitted this thread to them, I am a frequent contributor to ScreamScape so he usually posts what I send in. Look for some new videos on the ride in the next update that I showed him. :D

This kind of sounds like it may use the same basic track as Universal's Spider-Man ride.

EDIT: AANNNND I see I'm not the first to bring that up. IGNORE ME! /venturebros

I said a while ago that the two were the same becasue when Universal Studios loses their lisencing to name their attractions after Marvel characters which I think happens in 2013 (I could be wrong though) they are going to turn the Spiderman attraction in Florida into the Transformers ride.

Not true, Spielberg already confirmed that there were no plans to bring Transformers to Orlando, it's to be a Hollywood, and Singapore exclusive, the only possible Universal park it would be put in is Japan, and they've shown interest in building the ride.

They are doing a major overhaul to the Spider-Man attraction next year. Universal Orlando is not losing their license either, not this decade. The only Universal Studios park affected by Disney's ownership of Marvel was Hollywood, in which they removed all Marvel. However Orlando was told they could not build any NEW attractions that were Marvel themed, but they could keep the rights and do whatever maintenance and upgrades they wanted, for as long as they wanted.

Very different track layout, but the simulator cars are the same.
