Wow, that ad was really well done! I like the sets they use for the race...this makes me want to get more sets
That was fun. Wish they'd adapt these shorts into regular TV commercials, but trimming-to-size and advertising copy would probably rob them of all their charm.
Wow, nicely done. Cute, quirky and funny advertising that seems like someone actually put a bit of originality and effort into it. Nicely done Hasbro. Of course, the ad sort of highlights what I consider to be the main "fault" of the Kreo transformers line, being that any time you want to transform your character between modes, you have to totally disassemble and then rebuild them. Hasbro kind of dropped the ball on that one... zmog
OR you buy TWO of your faves, one for bot mode, one for alt mode. I've noticed some folks have done that--I know I saw the large Optimus and some of the smaller guys in the toy forum pics.
He tends to succeed more when he isn't trying. I've seen at least one on TV. I think the one showing off at the stoplight.
That was too funny. I don't know what was the funniest; bumble bee tip toeing over megatron, starscream holding his head because the idea didn't work, or optimus in the lawn chair with the trophy. It would be irony if season 2 would have a similar scene in prime.
Again, the very silly ads prove to be entertaining. 'Tis nice to see that Whimsy has not left Transformers.
Kind of defeats the purpose, I guess. I mean, if it feels like you should be buying TWO of the same toy, because its gimmick (transforming) is too awkward and time-consuming, then maybe that's an indication that the gimmick isn't handled very well. But I'm not comparing them to BTR. I'm just saying that there's no reason why brick transformers should have to suck and/or not transform. It's just a sad truth that the paid designers for these types of sets never seem to come up with as impressive results as one sees on websites that showcase the work of brick-art hobbyists (in particularly those who specialize in 'mecha' creations). Frankly, most of the Kreo sets don't look all that impressive in terms of their robot OR their vehicle builds. That would be forgivable if there was a compromise due to allowing for a transformation... but since you have to disassemble and rebuild these completely every time you want to switch between modes, I'm pretty unimpressed. Still... nice ads. zmog
And why would I need to go with Kre-O anyway? If I've got a 30 year collection of Legos amassed, I could probably build anything I want. *time to put on my cranky old man hat* (speaking of which as much as I admire the increadibly overpriced Licenced Star Wars Lego sets, when I was a boy, the whole point was to make our OWN ships out of Legos and insert them into the SW Universe. I tell you, that Skywalker kid would have never gotten near the Death Star without the assistance of me and my friends Foxbat squadron!)
That was hilarious. When are they coming out with an Elita-One Kre-O set, most notably as the Jem Rockin' Roadster? Anyway, they need a Jem-themed Kre-O set! Kenny
