For scale I would have to say that a leader class Prime would be much better into scale with the deluxe vehicles. This is what I would like to see; Ultimate Ultra sized Optimus Prime with Trailer (if no Leader) Leader Skyquake Megatron Optimus Prime (if no Ultimate) Voyager Ironhide (I can dream) Starscream Ratchet Bulkhead BreakDown Deluxe Jazz (I can dream) Prowl (I can dream) Bumblebee CliffJumper Knockout Scout Arcee Airachnid A list like this would be the closest thing to show scale you can get.
I guess I just have problems with the overall design in general, even in the cartoon. In G1 you could clearly see the vehicle mode parts integrated in the robot mode. Bayformers just have random auto parts all over with no rhyme nor reason to where they're located. I think Sideswipe (maybe Jazz) has about 6 clutches, and 8 shock absorbers. Optimus' character model on Prime has what looks like rearview mirrors on the sides of his windshield/chest that aren't even the same ones from vehicle mode, and there's a panel on each side that looks like half of the clearance light airfoil from a truck (the part above the windshield) that, again, aren't on the other mode. Looks like his feet form the hood, like the Bayverse Prime. And there's a huge panel on his back that could form just about anything. (though, I admit, it's too compact to be called "kibble" in the traditional sense) It's just so,,,, random.
voyager looks soo much better, but the only way to get the only megatron we know of currently at non-ebay prices is to buy deluxe prime in the 2-pack
It all makes sense though. He has very little kibble(like, next to none) that isn't on the show and he still manages to create a good looking truck. Just because it's not immediately obvious where things go doesn't mean it's a bad model. It all makes sense.
His feet are the roof. His shoulders are actually "fake". The lower hood forms his back and his arms are the upper hood. It's a crazy transformation. edit: sorry, you were talking about the character model and I meant the toy. My bad.
What are you talking about? You can see the airfoil and mirrors right there. They just change lenght/bend a little to improve the character design itself just like how G1 and Animated character models are always disappearing wheels and changing proportions for the sake of looking good.
My ONLY disappointment with this figure, and it's a VERY small disappointment is that the backing of the truck isn't flat, like ROTF prime's. It has a very unfinished look.
Ah, thanks. I guess I never really paid attention to relative size in the cartoon that much. At any rate, Bulkhead looks great. Might just have to pick him up... I'm kind of interested to see what TT does with these molds, though.
Yeah I love for everything to scale well within a line! Why I am excited for my leader class g1/ classics prime (mp-10) I am definately going to pick up both voyager prime and bulkhead they look great, just hopping for a bigger prime. I can see tt adding better colors and maybe even chrome on prime
Same goes for me,am deciding for the Voyager because am wondering what the design will be like for 2nd edition of Voyager Prime?
