Why would you have your first announcement be with something so rushed and ugly. There is not one straight line on that thing and no two pieces are a like, even the ones that should be. Big ass fail and I can see why they are anonymous.
In a couple weeks, when people have forgotten this thread, Im going to take some play-doh and sculpt out an awesome character, post it to some anonymous chinese site/thread, and sit back to watch ppl find it and be like "this thing sucks", "Ill wait to see more", etc. I like jumping on bandwagons, what can I say.
Wow this site has really gone downhill with the negativity . This is a friggen prototype people of course its not going to look awesome right out of the gate. This looks to be HANDMADE as well. Not everyone has access to prototyping equipment and stuff to make things look great right off the bat. Whats even funnier is if this was over in the radicons people would be saying " OMG this is awesome!!!!" ..." Very well done, do you plan on making molds from it and selling ?" ect ect ect .. But because its a front paged story of a 3rd party figure people attack it WITHOUT knowing a damn thing about it lol I like this and cant wait to see the final product.
HOLY BLIND OPTIMISM BATMAN. If the people did not have access to prototyping equipment they should have waited. You get one chance at a first impression. They failed large. This is not negativity this is the reaction this crap figure gets. Remember we just saw MMC's Sixshot not too long ago and that thing DESTORYS this mess. It is very much like going on a blind date with a scruffy beard, messy oily hair, dirty clothes and smelling of shit. Sure you can clean up nicely for the second date but guess what? There will be no second date because your first impression was the worst one you could possibly make. Your radicon arguement is pointless. Most people are being nice on the radicon section. Once something becomes an item to be bought the critiquing changes dramatically. This applies to all things in life not just TFs. OH and if you may. May you please link me to a thread that has a radicon this rough and crap and has people begging for it to be made for sale? Thank you
This is a dangerous thing to say, but I agree on Transbot's general point. I think if its made to sell, it should be held a much higher standard. MMC prototype came out a lot better, and first impression is HARD TO TAKE AWAY, after its done. Remember Sonicron? See where that ended up? From start to finish, a piece of crap to most. A few found its charm, but like I said, its an acquired taste.
It looks to be made from random bits of cardboard, plastic and soap that were cut with a hacksaw. This kind of prototyping may have worked in the past, but today we have far better and more precise ways to do it. A copy of a misshapen turd is still going to be a turd. Look at the joints on his knees for fucks sake - THAT'S careful work? And the wings on his chest - it's not rocket science cutting two plastic parts from a sheet that are the same shape, yet they couldn't even do THAT right. That said, I hope this is just a custom and not something meant for public consumption.
Obviously a rough mockup. It won't get mindshare from me until I see progress (if any). You never know, at one point this could be a really cool project. In terms of scale, those appear to be G1 guns painted with Primer.
this look more of a custom to me, it might just happened that they posted it on HK-TF. (just sayin) They're probably stoned when they were making this mold, lol just keed!
yeah i think they need some more time developing this and making everything work and look better together but if this ends up being as large as hercules is gonna be that would be awesome and we could call him mp sixshot since he does have that very g1 look that the mp series is going with come on designers you have a pretty good start now dont disapoint and make this mp sixshot and fix all the gaps in the legs and i think we might have something here if he is around 15inches tall come on fans lets get these guys to work on something that would be absolutely amazing in our eyes. We can all dream a little right lol
Hope there will be colour added soon,will take a look at how the final product with colour look like before deciding.
