I kinda like that there was a Prime that could fly, I don't have any problem that other Primes were land vehicles, but its nice to have variety once and awhile. Its ashamed of the story behind him though.

as nice as those drawerings (P.O.T.C reference) are...they look like they belong in the Drift comic.

too bad really. Alex is awesome drawing other folks designs, but when left to his own devices, he seems to draw clones of his own designs. all his faces look the same to me. :(

but whatever, he's still a really nice mech artist and right up there as one of my favs still.

I am getting a Robotech/Gundam/TF vibe from this. I wonder if he will do the Scott attack as well.

This would have been really interesting to me if he shared Optimus Prime's transformation sequence. As is he looks like generic cannon fodder in the background of a comic....

Overall the design is good. It does seem to have a little bit of everything from Gundam to Power Ranger to Drift comic. I'm just laughing at the name, Nominus as in nominate. I think that name is a joke.

Good stuff, I love it. I'm all about this Jettimus Prime and would enjoy a figure.

...or a similar design featured in an SRW game....

Nah, love it. It looks regal and elegant, especially when compared to both his known successors.

Is this look intentional on that? From what I've read on the issues so far, Nominus does seem like a very, very brown nosed fellow. Makes sense he'd have a flying alternate mode rather than a laborous land mode.

Sentinel was security forces chief, so basically a glorified grunt. Optimus was more or less the same.

Nova was involved with scientific research and all, hence his super mode.

The looks on those four Primes do match pretty well with those thoughts in mind.

I know the comics are their own continuity, but they are "kinda" G1, so let me see if I've got this straight:

Primon/Prima/Alpha Prime -> Nova Prime -> Guardian Prime -> Zeta Prime -> Nominus Prime -> Sentinel Prime -> Optimus Prime -> Rodimus Prime?

The Cybertronian's have a hard time of keeping their leaders alive or from going crazy.

There has been no name before Nova Prime in the IDW comics, so it's...

    Nova Prime-->Nominus Prime-->Sentinel Prime-->Zeta Prime-->Optimus Prime-->Rodimus Prime.

Thus far the only one that was never, ever pictured anywhere is Zeta Prime. And besides Nova\Sentinel, we never get clear confirmation when\how the others died.

Zeta was mentioned in Spotlight Blurr.

Prooobably as a tie-in to WFC, but he's in IDW continuity as well.

Nominus had some black and orange [his face] in the little panel he appeared in.

Likelihood of the tie-in is doubtful. Even factoring in the development time of the game, Spotlight: Blurr came out two years prior. Also, Zeta (or Sentinel Zeta, whatever) didn't really get a lot of hype until the game actually came out.
