They posted another thread here that stated Iguana WAS NOT cancelled and they're not sure why that was stated at the con.

Yeah, it's not canceled, news got confused between "no news" and "not happening". Apologies for the confustion.

They should really stop using the same old mold, and move onto new projects.

Who needs a Headmaster Onslaught anyway, when his old head was just perfect?

This is an easy pass, just doesn't do anything for me.

Seconded. It is the logical next figure to do. Mindwipe could seriously use a new headmaster head and a gun! My other Decepticons consider taking a knife to a gun fight rather silly, and taking a knife made of cockpit glass to said fight downright ridiculous!

While Headmaster Onslaught is an odd concept, its a cool use of the existing tools, and I personally WANT Headrobots to milk each tool as much as they possibly can! Why? I love their products, probably more than any other 3rd party company, so I want them to make as much profit as possible so that they can execute their next project(s) in style, and not have to shrink back to "limited resin cast run" sadness like Gyro.

THIS is a great idea! Mindwipe would work AS Mindwipe very nicely with the HR treatment, and with 2 other incarnations of the mold available, we've got at least 3 variants built in!

I'd rather hypnobat be a BAT, but since we've got that Mindwipe mold kicking around (and you can even fake a decent bat mode from it), I'd support this in a heart beat!

the only thing I want on that is the knife. So if anyone wants to sell it, PM me. Otherwise, I am out from this kit. As much as I want it I can't justify yet another version of the same mold. There are SO MANY OTHER BOTS that needs head.

Like...RotF Whirl, RotF Bludgeon, other RotF Bludgeon, and Tomahawk?

I'll not begrudge anyone a return on their mold investment. Hasbro rarely uses a mold just once...so, why expect the other companies to be able to afford to?

    Dismissed.

Er... are we sure that's a redeco of either of the Hothead molds? looks brand spankin' new to me.

EDIT: Yeah, definitely a new design..
    1) Hothead A and B (zoom/cap from Optibotimus's review.)
    2) Stronghold (From the Hothead A mold)
    3) Butcher

It's not a redeco at all. Even the visor's a completely different shape. I thought this too, but just brushed it off as a typo bc it's fairly obvious.

The weapons are the same, the bot is the same. The only thing that was retooled, is the face portion. So its a new face (same engineering and transformation) + a translucent knife.

Don't get me wrong, I think it looks nice. But I already have 3 version of this.

This is as much retooling as the BBTS Hothead with only the face as different + a knife.

They can redeco this, I don't fault the company for doing so. Milking molds are normal.

I am just not keen on this nor do I love the onslaught mold too much to have 3+ of him. Maybe I will buy it to resell, but that might be it if that.

The backpack's the same, so are the weapon load outs, so it interfaces with the same molds. If it can interface with more molds I would have brought every version that comes out. The only thing I would be getting this for, would be the weapons.

Personally, I'm just glad to have an onslaught that looks like a CLASSICS ONSLAUGHT and not a mixture of robocop and a hockey goalie.

You know, this could turn out looking VERY nice with the lightpiping being the same color as the visor.

    :lol !

The more I look at this new face sculpt, and the more I think about it, I'm inclined to agree. I was planning on popping this guy on an extra Onslaught and having him be special-headmaster-Edition-because-why-not-Onslaught, but more and more I think I'll just put it on regular Onslaught and call it a day.

The backback bits might even give me more/better options to load him out with my spare FP-gear that he's currently wielding.

    Man I love Headrobots!!!
