I think what might um..soothe you for lack of a better word is to remember that the movie is essentially its own continuity.

For instance, Wheeljack was in Energon. Sorta. The name was lent to a G2-Sideswipe looking guy, and the look was given to a guy who was named Downshift. Who wasn't even a scientist. It's a nod more than anything.

In Animated, Bumblebee was almost Hot Shot, and Ratchet Red Alert, as these two characters featured prominently in the last 3 cartoons.

I know we grew up in a world where if a movie comes out about a franchise, it is the definitive version, so to speak. (to some) But if you think of the Bayverse as just another continuity, you won't mind that Dino is really just somebody else entirely.

Here’s my review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon by Michael Bay. Listening to the Score of the movie as I’m writing this because, have to tell you… this is pretty epic. Like last time I promise you that the review is Spoiler Free.

I’m just back from the third movie and can’t even describe how happy I am. Michael Bay not only delivered the best Transformers Movie out of the three, he also delivered one of the most action-packed movies ever to be produced by the mankind. Best movie of the year 2011 in my opinion. And now, without further ado… the review.

    Plot
The story of the movie blew both previous movies out of the water. So much in-depth analysis had gone into producing the movie. If it weren’t for the Comic Book Leak… audience wouldn’t have seen it coming. The thing about DOTM is that unlike ROTF the plot is precise and woven together into one 2 and a half hour long movie. It never felt dull and boring. Second half of the movie is the game changer. Everyone at the theater was on the edge of their seats anticipating and cheering the Autobots. It was like watching a good football game… I mean a real damn good football game.

    Characterization
Most of you who read my movie review for ROTF may recall me mentioning that characterization was through the roof. Well, guess what? It has now reached much greater heights with TF3. Believe me… for those who complained “Less Humans, More Robots” got their wish. But that doesn’t mean there are no human interactions. There were plenty of awesome human interactions. But the robots felt so much like what we wanted them to feel like. They had a life of their own. Sometimes I just wonder if Mr. Bay is hiding an actual bunch of robots from a distant planet just for the movie. And speaking of which…

    Graphics and Effects
ILM out-did themselves. My god! If I had any words to describe the realism, I’d be writing till the eternity. Mr. Bay did what he does best, delivering a movie with actual effects rather than blue screen or whatnot. The Birdmen scene was done in real life and was not a fake scene as we see in most movies. The difference? Transformers 3 is a winner in every way in this category.

    Music
Best Score… EVER! Unfortunately I’m not that impressed with the Soundtrack aside from several tracks. Linkin Park’s Iridescent is the highlight of the movie soundtrack. Proud to have them in all three movies. As for Steve Jablonsky, I have no true words to say what a genius that man is. Honestly, awesome talent. The Soundtrack is great for Rock Music Lovers, but to others it is a good soundtrack only. Unlike ROTF the soundtrack didn’t play a major role in the movie. Score on the other hand is a brilliant piece of art.

That’s pretty much it I guess. Can’t tell more without spoiling those who haven’t watched the movie.

    Almost forgot…

    Vehicles
If you are a vehicle enthusiast (A “Petrolhead” as the Top Gear people would call it) this is the movie for you. After watching the movie I have a strong urge to go and buy a Ferrari 458 Italia; the best Ferrari ever made by the company of the same name. The vehicles are darn awesome.

There is a lot to say about the movie but many of my thoughts cannot be put into words. I feel so lucky to see this wonderful movie that helped shape the Transformers Franchise to what it is today.

Finally, I thank Mr. Michael Bay and his cast & crew for producing one of the most enjoyable movies ever. Hats –off to everyone who made this movie… A Reality!

Much preferred ROTF. Felt completely empty after DOTM. Bay's directing was superb, the writing was complete jism. Very disappointed.
