It's especially surprising since WfC had the forearms integrate the weapons.

Oh come on, at least do a check. We've seen both Soundwave and Starscream bits of gameplay in the reveal trailer.

Please don't use autoloading video files it eats bandwidth some people may not have to spare people should always have the choice to view or not.

It's one reasons I hate Videogame sites so much as they keep running full motion video adverts and I consider it very rude.

Just image the poor stiff accessing on a pay as you go service or on a limited service which charges for excess bandwidth.

Please don't do it as it not fair on such people.

Looks fun. So June 14th? We get the toys in May the game and June and the movie itself in July. I wonder who will voice Sideswipe in the game?

Looks like it plays exactly like WFC...which is good. Going to be careful with this one though, moviegames are often rushed and sloppy, but it at least gives me decent hope.

    OK so:

    WfC Gameplay

It captures the shooter genre well. However though it works with Transformers, it doesn't exactly fit with the movie-verse style of combat with flips, rolls etc. Therefore, RotF has a better combat system.

    Interface etc

There's a different user interface probably created to minimalise on-screen information. The first thing I noticed was the SFX, font is exactly identical to WfC but this isn't surprising as how long do they have to develop this game? Did people really expect anything new here?

    Other notes

1 character per level. I'm fine with this. Playing as another character out of 3 didn't really add much for me in WfC even in terms of replayability. Though I do think it was ok doing a level with a different character. Playing as only 1 character is ok with me though.

They were holding their guns too. Didn't Optimus have a gun in his hand in the EMPIRE article? I think in the game Bumblebee had a gun-arm. I'm not sure; the video quality wasn't good for me. But are people actually complaining? People often complained about gun/arms and still do.

I noticed the environments looked a little bland but the TF models are AMAZING. But I wish there was a sense of weight in this game. I wish a TF game would use Digital Molecular Matter (used in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) where objects interact as they do in real life. Ironhide should have done something to that bus.

Will I buy this? Maybe. The multiplayer is the deciding factor. RotF was fun at least. WfC was addictive (bugs aside). If it can at least deliver a WfC-esque experience then I see no problem buying this.

    Thanks for reading.

    360 or PS3

New member here, great site. I wanted to post a thread but was unsure as to where to put it. I'm curious as to what system, those who plan on picking up the game here at TFW2005, are getting it for.

My girlfriend and I pre-ordered for the 360. We had plan to get it for PS3 but with all that's going on with PSN, not so sure anymore. Would just be cool to have a bunch of people to play with day 1. :thumbs2:

anyone notice bumblebee and the rest's hands don't transform into weapons, instead they hold a gun. wouldn't be so bad if the guns didn't look like crap. i mean, at least give optimus his huge cannon, instead of a pea shooter.

pass, i'll look into the DS version

Wow the game looks pretty awesome! I screamed in joy when I saw Ironhide! It is soo similar to WFC though. Not that that's a bad thing, I LOVE War For Cybertron. But I was sorta looking forward to a bit more newer gameplay with some WFC similarities. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the "sequel" that was rumored to be released next year. I'm still buying it for PS3 though!

I'll get it for the MP as usual. I had a ton of fun with WfC and I'll have a ton of fun with this game too.

So far, I very much like what I've seen of the game. The format of that video was "meh" at best, though.

Looks like they're getting everything right this time from my perspective. The graphics look amazing, and I like the environment designs. Detroit looks so moody. I even like the character specific mission idea. Sometimes having that extra choice isn't a good thing.

The only thing I'm sceptical about is stealth mode. I'm just not sure how I feel yet about all that sliding around.

that's a good point. I really like the whole transforming arm concept a lot better than hand-held guns. It's also weird, since I don't remember WFC having much in the way of hand-held guns, although it is a while since I last played.
