You do realize that Hasbro caters to kids first and foremost, right?

At one of last years TF panels (I think it was SDCC but it might've been Botcon) Hasbro confirmed that ROTF had indeed outsold the 2007 movie line. Which means its now the best selling TF line of all time.

Oh come on guys. You really don't think takara won't make any more classic style figures now do you? Lol. Geez. Im pretty sure they'll come back to it once they're done with the movie toys. Relax. Use the time to replenish your funds. I know I can use some down time.

I was hoping United would stay around for a while longer. I wasn't going to buy these originally, but since they differ enough from the Generations and Reveal The Shield Lines, I am interested in them. And since the "last" United wave will be in March, I will have to buy what I can before the prices go up. And I noticed that UN-09 Megatron and UN-12 Jazz are harder to find, and have overblown prices on ebay.

It will be tough to budget for all 22 of these. But the only movie line toys I buy are Human Alliance because they are the closest thing to the Alternators and Binaltech series. And the Prime toys don't interest me as much, but a Cliffjumper and Wheeljack would be hard to resist. Then there's the 3rd party products to anticipate...

Yes we all agree that hasbro has kids on the agenda. But they need to start thinking that this franchize is not just kid baced do to thows of us whom grew up with gen 1 an older series. What i propose is to tell hasbro to do two lines. one for kids and the other is for the older fans. If thay cant do that then we as a massive comunity need to yell it at them.

Um they try to...it's the "Classics" lines we've been getting, and that's being sold because it moves well enough (meaning it's not just collectors buying it, but some of the kiddies too).

Most of you realize that collectors makes up about 9% of sales based on questions asked in various conventions every year. The question will be asked again this year(Botcon and SDCC) and the same answer will be given.

The classics in it's various incarnation line sells well to kids as well as making collectors happy. It will not go away anytime soon.

Well, it sucks that the line will end or be put on hold, but, just like others, I'm pretty sure it'll be back, if not for a full new line just to make the mandatory redecos/retools.

I mean, Henkei Megatron, that G1er Prime, Hotrod and other molds came back for this year, not to mention seeker molds, so I don't see why in hell we can't see Leozack or Junkyard.

Good, it deserves to be. Got me into the hobby.

How quickly they forget. Riddle me this: why the hell do Generations Straxus and Thunderwing even exist?

I can't fucking believe Hasbro does shit like this...and not as some tiny online run, but by the dozen at fucking Walmart.

Perhaps they just create a new line for the rest of the robots. I can't imagine they would want to dispense the newer Generations figures.

I was glad to see this line although it's short run did surprise me. I knew this line was going to stop for all the new movie merchandise but I was not expecting so soon. That is fine though I need to start saving for PE - Reflector, TFC Devastator and FP's Insecticons so I'll have plenty to keep me busy.

Reflector's going to be retooled from Perceptor. Gears is the rumored name for the Kup retool.
