I still can't get over how they gave Barricade a white spoiler. It looks so out of place.

The one they call "Sentinel Prime".
    WOW, that is totally mine.
On the side of that apparatus, my area code: 316
and also one of the ways I stylized my initials "KR".

    Wreckers, seem ok.

Still thinking Ratchet is a Light Rescue truck compared to an Ambulance.

yeah, i might be down for that firetruck once I lock down what the scale is and if the bot mode is worthwhile.

The majority of those pictures are cool! The fire truck looks much nicer, and Sideswipe intrigues me.

I see Ratchet as a Rough Terrain rescue vehicle (bit like a Mountain Rescue 4X4) this is sort of implied by his door logo in the 1st 2 movies. He's a bit like a Fire department paramedic van too.

Yep, Light Rescue is the term. :D  We used to have them here, but, We went all Squad Companies instead, and phased out the Light Rescues, since Squad's basically carried all the equiptment that a Light Rescue carried anyway. Also, with all the brush fires in Kansas, its easier for a Squad to get into the fields, than an Engine. So thats why we went all Squad, because Squads, carry 300 gallons of water and a 200 gallon per minute pump. So all we have left on the Rescue "nameplate" is the Heavy Rescues we have one City, and one County.

*Also Powercore Combiner Smolder is considered a Light Rescue, and PCC Stakeout would be a Light Rescue - Radio Emergency Patrol for NYPD ESU.

    Extrication

    Not in this case.

The "Autobot XXX" or "Turbo YYY" trick works for words considered too generic to TM on their own, like "Jazz", "Tracks", "Hound", etc. It would likely work in this case, except Mattel has a live toy TM for "Hott Rodd". "Hot Rod" of any sort would be too close, even with a prefix. They couldn't use "Autobot Hot Rod" any more than "Autobot Batman". (Or even "Autobot Battmann".) That's why it's been "Rodimus" since they started using the character design again in Energon.

And no, I still can't explain "Decepticon Banzaitron".

In closing, did Redd Foxx drive a Hott Rodd?

    YouTube (Legacy):
You're missing the point. Movie characters and toys are two separate things. You can name a movie character whatever you want. The 1990 movie "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" had a character named Jazz. Yet there was no conflict with the Action Master Jazz toy on the shelves at the time. If Ford Fairlane made a toy line, THEN there would have been a conflict and the Ford Fairlane "Jazz" action figure would have been changed to something like "Detective Jamms".

Again, there would be no conflict in calling a movie character "Hot Rod" as long as the toy was named "Rodimus". It's a basic first amendment thing. You simply can't make a rule about what you can and can't name a fictional character.

In fact... Hot Rod (2007) - IMDb

Nice, Blue Wreckerman and Copter-Guyson look pretty cool. Definite proof that Copterman's an Autobot.

Not sure if I want the Blue Wrecker, it has a nice Nascar mode but I am not feeling the bot mode at all. Same goes for the Green Wrecker too.
