Has anyone noticed that the car that's pictured from the top (looking at the roof) is not the SUV? It looks more like a sports car. Could it be the Ferrari maybe?

 

Already been noted numerous times. Mostly likely the green Wrecker.

 

Highly doubt it, there's no guns on the hood and its a regular car shape instead of nascar like.

 

We've been through this, the sharp eyed have already spotted anything up to half a dozen reasons why it's one of the wreckers. To give a few examples, slick tryes, netting in the windows, special panels on the bonnet/roof only found on these types of cars oh and missile pods sticking out of the rear.

 

I think SUVs are mistransformed?

 

Netting in the window? Slick tyres? We're clearly not talking about the same toy/image here.

Clearly owned. Lol. These Wreckers are shaping up nicely. Im sure all the missing weapons people are talking about are simply stored in the vehicle under the trunk and various other panels.

Are you even looking at those oblong shaped panels on the gray proto? Their exactly the same as the mold lines on the green impala and you can VERY clearly see the net windows on that top down view of the gray proto. I really can't see how your still arguing against this. Even if by some chance its not the green impala it is most certainly one of the other 2 Wreckers. There's no way of getting around that it is not the ferari.

 

Ok, here's all the pictures we've got of the car mode, I've even flipped them so they're in the same orientation, if you really can't see that this is the same figure then I just don't know what to tell you.

Why does it look nothing like the actual car in the movie? Not even the color is the same.



PS: I kept looking at the front windshield when looking for those window nets and all i saw was some scratches/cuts. I just noticed it's on the top car door window (sides).

 

Dude, it's a toy. Hasbro and Takara have managed some amazing things in recent years but it's still only a toy, with all the limitations that implies.
As for why it doesn't look like the picture you posted, I think it's pretty obvious they've made it look like it's pre morphed form and that some of that stuff is hidden in the bodywork of the toy so kids can play out whatever scene in the movie reveals all that stuff.

 

Ahahahah! Looks nothing like it? Are we really talking about the same toyline/franchise now? How many figures have you seen from past TF toylines that look nothing like they should?

I believe Jolt in your sig is a prime example of this his bot mode toy wise is drastically innaccurate to his on screen CGI model. What about oh say half the figures from beast wars? Need we be reminded of pretty much most of the movie one toys that bared only passing resemblance to the characters they represented.

Den as recent as Animated voyaged and deluxe Megatron looking nothing like his cybertronian alt mode. Did you really think they'd make a toy 100% accurate to its on screen portrayal? That's alot of misplaced faith in hasbro im afraid.

Sure the figure will and DOES have deployable weapons as shown in the gray proto pics but to expecet every weapon and paint application on it to replicate the on screen representation is frankly a little foolish.

And if by some chance its not the green impala im sorry but you really have no choice but to accept that its one of the 3 nascars and is NOT ferarri.

Some nice handsculpts on this figure.

Judging from this pic, I reckon the bot mode will have some pretty long legs. I can make out the arms, the legs, the head, the hips/torso, but there's a lot of other stuff left over. Hope that doesn't leave too much kibble.

 

I bet those large flat panels on his legs will be partially printed with NASCAR sponsor deco on them for the robot mode.

I bet we will see coloured robot modes for both fairly soon then now.

But roll on the Airport Crash Truck toy!  

 

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but the SUVs are called Dreads, and they have dreadlocks? If they have Jamaican accents I'm walking out of the theater.
