Glad it's not as bad as it looked at first. Any chance of a review soon?

I like the FAB's that are easy to Transform like Jolt, Blackout, Barricade, Sideways & Optimus, and I especially like the FAB Rescue Torch Ratchet, & Frenzy.

But a few were a complete pain - mainly Mudflap & Skids the arms are simply to big to cram into the vehicle mode they take almost as long to try to Transform as the Deluxes simply as it's so hard to get the arms inside the vehicles and it's nearly as tricky to get the arms out as well.

I'd have liked to have had a Black M & S though as FAB's as over all FAB's are better to me than ROTF Activators, Gravity Bots, DOTM Activators or similar items..

But then what I'd really like is more Real Gear Robots and I don't suppose Hasbro will oblige me on that though.

How's the articulation, and if anything, does it surpass the TF1 voyager Prime?

Articulation is fine. I'm trying to remember the TF1 voyager prime exactly, but yeah, he's pretty decently jointed. Definitely a better overall prime than TF1 voyager.

Huh. Now that's interesting... I guess that's why the figure doesn't look so hot overall: Hasbro had to do a lot of cheating to incorporate all these different elements.

Thanks! That actually sounds pretty cool. I'll wait for your review but it sounds like it might a fun toy. If I get it, it won't go on my main movie shelf, but I could see it being one of those fun to transform toys that go one of my "others" shelf.

I wonder if the trailer will be this space maneuverability stuff. Maybe it's an upgrade to make him like Starscream and Megatron, able to travel in space without reverting to protoform.

Most likely. It works though. They already gave us a great accurate Prime in the Battle Blades and Leader class figures, so they can focus on features with this one.

Personally, it looks simplistic to me. Battle Blades Prime, and the TF1 voyager, raised the bar at the time of their releases, but this new one doesn't seem that way. Maybe the design team is saving all the greatness for the leader? Do you think the leader version blow away the ROTF leader Prime?

So far it seems that Prime is a bit underwhelming, meanwhile voyager Megatron is an improvement over previous versions, albeit noticeably smaller.

Well he does like to tear Cybertronian's faces off that does make him a bit strange I'd guess.

Easy money for Hasbro. Doubt they'd pass it up...

...but i also doubt they'll make much effort on it, treating it as case padding when other toys are seen as being in higher demand.

Yep. I'll be buying any Human Alliance figures.

What I can tell is that barring AMAZING changes in the figures I've seen, I won't be buying much of Dotm.

I'm happy with all main cast line figures I have... only leaders I would buy would be Megs and Shockwave and any Autobot not named Prime or Bumblebee.

None of the new Voyagers have impressed me at all... And the new Deluxe Bee looks like a step back.

I'm glad for the kids... these toys look more playable than accurate, but I really hope that the new Bots and Cons aren't limited by this "return" to playability. I'm slightly worried we'll have another Energon Autobots situation where the gimmick is really limiting the potential of the toy.

In a way, I'm glad this line looks so lackluster from a collector standpoint. It will save me a ton of money that I can put to that TFClub Devastator. So long as the tail end of the Movie line doesn't have as many great offscreen toys as ROTF did, I'll be safe. The big wonking gimmick just turns me off to a lot of these, those oversized weapons look lame, although I'm sure some 3rd party company will make more appropiate sized substitutes.

Leader Bee is just a dumbass idea. I guess the big Bee's must be selling, this is the 3rd time they've released one, so he must be selling kinda well. I think it's stupid and would have preferred they work on someone (or something) else. Hopefully it's just a retooled BOBB, and won't rob us of a more deserving leader class toy. Personally I don't know why they don't just release the Prime leader and BOBB as leaders (with slight retools), and make a good Megatron, Shockwave and Silverbolt. I'm just glad we've gotten a Leader Class Starscream already.

Can't really blame them though. DotM is going to be their big reveal for Toy Fair, so any spoiling of that could, in their mind, ruin the big reveal.

Others will disagree with me on this, but I'm still not fully convinced that what we saw was a Leader class Bumblebee. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that it is, but until we get proof, I'm going to hope that it's just a Voyager. The fact that the packaging picture next to the figure itself was the same as the new Voyager Prime figure, and that the picture used in the display for what should be a Leader class figure is the packaging sample for the new Deluxe class Bee figure point towards Voyager. Only thing pointing towards Leader, imho, is the oddly huge Mechtech weapon he has. However that could just mean Bee ends up being a smaller than usual Voyager class figure. Kinda like how Deep Dive Bumblebee came with the scuba gear.

I agree with all of this.

I would be fine with Bumblebee getting a leader if that meant that we would get a leader Prime with trailer at a higher price point. We'll call this a Battle Ops Optimus Prime. The Prime figure itself would be leader scale, so the higher price would come from the inclusion of the trailer.

If Hasbro does go this route, they shouldn't just reuse the ROTF leader. If my guess is right and the trailer becomes space gear/weapons, then they would have to use a new mold designed for those to be attached. Of course, I'd also like to see:

    -Retractable battle mask
-More articulation in the hands (doesn't have to be like movie one but not just the molded fists)
-Swords that don't get in the way of arm movement
-At least one gun from the gas tanks (buster cannon) or two guns (Battle blades cannons)

Hasbro and Paramount have every right to control information about their property. It's a bummer for spoiler hungry fans, but it's no injustice. I love movie spoilers as much as the next Transfan, but when we ask for it, we are asking for stolen intellectual and physical property.

When we see work that isn't ready for Prime Time, it reflects poorly on Hasbro. Certainly, the last batch of leaked images did little to help.
