The animation looks smooth but the models seem unfinished. Musics good, reminds me of the movie score which is really well done.

The video doesn't seem to work for me. How disappointing, but judging from the comments, it's not very good.

I think what makes it look so weird is the complete lack of detail, I mean, even Bumblebee got maskings and cheek-bone-ish stuff on his face, why does Optimus get to be a clean Layton face?

I think it's just bad 2d to 3d translation, when I tried to draw that Prime's face it looked sooo much better on paper even with my bad art skills!

Gah, can someone Youtube it/give me a Youtube link? They'll play other videos just fine, but this one isn't even loading. I've refreshed the page and everything.

That may be the case. We've also only seen it for about a second of footage, if even that much.

I think it might just be me, but I can't view the video. In both Firefox & IE everything on the page loads fine, except the video...

    Any ideas?

EDIT: It sounds like Rayzilla and others are having the same issue as me...

I can't even watch it. The video won't work.

EDIT: Thanks, Youtube! That's deffinatley not finished, some of the blast effects are clearly place-holders or simply unrendered, there's a tone of sound effects missing. However what is there isn't bad. The animation itself is not bad, and Arcee's decapitating of the drone was cool. The music felt phoned-in. I'm seriously wondering if we'll ever see finished animation for the premiere.

Not bad. The footage is definitely not finished, but for what it is, it's actually pretty good. The designs look nice in-motion. Bumblebee is looking less and less like his movie design, to me at least (not that I don't see the movie influence, but something about his proportions and the way he moves seems less movie-like).

Can't wait to finally see the actual show. Hopefully it isn't too long after it's aired that someone puts them up on youtube.

Yea I can't seem to shake this nagging worry that too much of the movie influence will end up in Transformers Prime.

Part of the reason I really enjoyed Animated but haven't enjoyed the movies very much is that Animated really went all out with making Decepticons full fledged characters while the Decepticons just don't really feel like characters to me in the movies. A person could almost argue that some of the Decepticons were better characters than the Autobots in Animated.

I'm just rather worried the Transformers Prime Decepticons are going be just something to be beaten every week rather than actual characters. That they don't talk about the Decepticons very much, the logo doesn't show up very much and we only get drones in the clips isn't helping the bad feeling.

At least with GI Joe related stuff they throw enough Cobra elements out in the promotions that you feel like the people behind whatever project it is love Cobra as much as the fans.

I was about to express some slight worries about the quality of the animation seen so far, but after seeing the new preview on IGN, all doubt in my mind has completely vanished; this test footage is most definitely just that, test footage. The finished stuff in the preview is leaps and bounds ahead of this clip, so that should hopefully silence some of the naysayers... ("some" being the operative word; this unpleasable fanbase of ours will never truly stop complaining)

As for this clip, though, I was still impressed with the fluidity of the movements even before realising it was unfinished. I'm enjoying what I've seen so far, and my confidence for the new series remains at an all-time high. And, in response to the previous poster's concerns regarding the screentime/focus on the Decepticons, I highly doubt it'll turn out that way, based on the precedents set forth by previous TF series. The Decepticons were always just as deep as the Autobots, and I can't see Prime breaking that tradition for any reason.

Now that I've seen it, I'm gonna say that everyone needs to calm down a bit - either this was just an animation test or them revealing us a work in progress. Either way, NOTHING in this scene is finished, right down to the character models. The previous clips we've seen (Bumblebee taking out the drones and Prime saying "Roll out!") had MUCH smoother animation, and much more detail, not to mention they were finished.

When finished, this action sequence will be top-notch. Good to see Arcee getting her chance to be a bad-ass and not. She done tore that Decepticon's head off...WITH HER FEET.

*EDIT - Just saw the IGN trailer - this is DEFINITELY NOT going to be the final product.
