It would be nice if they were smart and put the 1986 movie in between seasons 2 and 3. But I doubt they'll do that. I just hope we at least get the entire series.

It was interesting last night having it on for my niece (5) and nephew (7) and explaining that Bumblebee was a VW originally.

Dish network has it. My gf had it on for me while she was dozing. Time Warner has it here too.

I wonder if they are going to make the movie in 5 parts like they did with Optimus the Powermaster Prime puppet Season 5.

    That'd be really cool.

But they'd probably have to censor the "bad words".

I'm hoping that the G1 series gets a lot of ratings so that Hasbro can reissue more toys!

It won't happen on a big scale like we wish it would. They tried a bunch of reissues through tru a few years back and they were pretty much shelf warmers. Plus the fact that very few of us can stay up until midnight to watch on hub. So I don't think the rating will justify them trying it. We can always hope though. Maybe if they weren't store exclusive to tru they would have better success.

I think the previous reissues were shelf warmers because there was not a TV show to "advertise" them. Now thanks to Hub, that might change. Plus, most people have Tivo or some sort of digital recorder and can record the series and watch it whenever. So, I don't think the time issue is an issue anymore.
It's doubtfull, but we can still pray.

It's true, only 3 parts to "MTMTE". In my time zone (Central) it's on at 11pm.
On another note, G.I. Joe's 1st 5-parter is called "A Real American Hero" instead of "The M.A.S.S. Device". (Note on the 2nd one, the Dreadnok Ripper sounds more like Starscream than Cobra Commander, albeit with an Australian dialect.)

I'm pretty happy they're keeping the original commercial bumpers and credits mostly untouched. The "Huboom" bumpers are kinda cute as well, but mostly because I recognize Townsend Coleman/Sentinel Prime/The Tick as the voice of the copier. :)

watching ultimate doom part I now... sparkplug is kinda creepy as a drone. the plot with how he treats spike is so much more dramatic late at night and with commercials to keep you on the edge of your seat lol

I have to admit UM, I too think the commercials keep you at the edge of your seat on some of these episodes. For years we've been spoiled with the DVDs and the commercials now actually add suspense!
