Like it's already been pointed out, this isn't a Deluxe class version of the Voyager Classics Megatron, it's another repaint of it. Also, that's not how remolding works at all. It would be a completely new mold all it's own. Even then, there was no Walmart listing for a non-WFC Megatron figure, just Prime and Bee. True, we are getting a Goldbug homage in the near future, but it's a Legends class figure, which wouldn't stop Hasbro from also making a Deluxe class version. There's also nothing wrong in wanting a Deluxe class version instead of just the Legends.
Wait... all that Japanese text in there... Is that for United? Does that mean Red Alert and Dirge are slated for United? Just a little confused...
i don't get it. why does everyone hate the rime mold. i mean the spinning punch gimmick was stupid but all you had to do was press a tab and it would stop.
- The eyes, and to an extent the whole face, bug me. It's certainly not one of the best Prime face sculpts imo - Truck mode never really comes together, literally. - He's a bit too small, being that he's the leader and all.
Um, Lone Cat, that entry is for Generations, not United. Nope. Like I said, that's the entry for Generations, not United.
ya the vehicle mode was really sloppy but i thought the robot mode was i really nice mode, a little small, but still a nice robot mode. i actually like the head sculpt on it. not trying to be a troll just stating my opinion.
Why do you find that interesting? We've known for quite some time that Generations WFC Cliffjumper is coming as well. We just got to see the United version before that one.
Doesn't look like I'll be bothering much with TF: United. Most of them fall in the "not different enough for import prices" bin for me. There's something ... off about WFC Cliffjumper's head sculpt to me. Perhaps it will look better in person (and attached to a Classics body. ) Apparently Takara Tomy is taking a similar route to what they did with Animated, with the metallic paint jobs on at least some of them. Bumblebee is the obvious one, though it doesn't look quite as over-the-top gold as their TFA BB. With BB, Optimus, and Megatron being Classics/Henkei redecos, I wonder how they will compare to the Hasbro Op and BB listings in deco, assuming they use the same molds. Also, no "Convoy" or "Bamburu" , huh? The Megatron remake looks pretty decent, not as good as the Henkei in some ways, but better in others, and more consistent overall (the Henkei didn't make very good use of its chrome - chroming the shin-guards, then painting over 95 percent of them in black - seriously Takara? )
So hard to choose! They all look great, especially BB and CJ. Soundwave looks a little weird and a little different from his in-game form, but he still looks nice. And Drift will always be awesome, lol. =D
I'm sorry but i'm not really interested in a Henkei rerelease of BB or Megatron. Damnit if we were getting a Henkei Astrotrain re-release I'd be sooooo over that in a heartbeat.
So if this is basically 'Henkei 2010', why are they double dipping on megatron and bumblebee? At least bumblebee has a slightly different deco, megatron is just missing deco. The nice thing about Henkei was there wasn't a ton of repaints and was easy to complete. Now it looks like they're going for a less collector focus with this line. And no seaspray, wtf
