I don't like the gold color.

 

I could see this bumblebee (without hydrodrive suit) getting like a Generations release. That'd be sweeet.

Frontpaged? Neat. I wasn't sure if this qualified as news or not, so I put it in the toys section.

The pics come from a Japanese friend (occasionally posts here as Convoymus) from when the traveling TF Museum event came close to his home town. I think there was a little 'pit' of sample toys for kids and others to mess with, and BB was in there (probably the hydro-jet-pack-thing too, somewhere)

 

Errmmm.... Not sure yet. Need to see comparison pics/vid against the original Deluxe and the Activators version.

 

Something's very wrong with that 'Bee... perhaps the proportions or the face? He just doesn't have any character.

 

It's about time we see this thing up close. Not too excited about the gold, but he's the only animated figure I am willing to buy overseas. Hope he comes out soon.

 

I like it but I agree also with Batman.

 

I know exactly what it is.

The eyes are too soft and the horns are too low set on the head (and pointing too far out) combined with the classic Bumblebee smirk makes him look very odd.

If he had the Deluxe's head he'd be perfect. As it stands the Deluxe is still the most accurate, but this one's transformation is quite cool in the legs.

Yeah, I think I'm sticking with the regular ol' deluxe figure.

 

I love all things Animated... Except this. I'm usually all for anything new but... It's ugly... And I hate saying that.

 

Yeah, I just noticed taht he was missing those.

Then again, we've yet to get an Optimus toy with his grapplers, which are almost as defining as his axe.

 

Yeah, the horns point more out than up in this toy, apparently.

The head doesn't seem quite so squashed/wide/odd to me in these older shots of the Hasbro toy. ( Look at that nice plain yellow. If only...   ) Might be a funny angle in the new pic.

 

Squashed head could be the angle, but the horns and eyes are deffinately an issue.

And yeah, the Hasbro version looks so much nicer. Though both are missing black details, and the Hasbro one is missing the leg stripe.

 

Love the new sig, Feralstorm. Although I doubt Ratchet would agree.  

 

The sculpt looks ok but I really don't care for a Hydrodive Goldbug...   I've got a feeling he'll eventually get a Hasbro release (sometime next year?) but what about his wavemate Goldfire Grimlock? Surely someone wants him..?  

 

Gonna pass it looks like. He just looks off to me. I have the original anyway.
