Ughh, can't someone respectfully dislike something without getting jumped on?I mean, nearly everybody expressed their distaste when "Q's" (Einstein-bot's) head was first shown. I happened to really like the design. Did I say "SUCK IT UP PEOPLE, THIS IS WHAT HASBRO & BAY WANTED! YOU WANTED WHEELJACK TO LOOK EVEN REMOTELY LIKE HIS G1 SELF? WELL TOUGH SH*T, THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE GETTING!"? No, I simply expressed my love for the design. Can't people have conflicting opinions anymore?

Y'know, just because Hasbro makes it official it doesn't mean we have to like it. Sometimes they simply don't understand their own characters.

If it was a good, thorough, character-based design, everything about it would say sleek and swift. That's why people rave about the Animated design. We love it when they get stuff right.

I must say, this has been one of the most amusing discussions I have read in a while.:popcorn :lol

Aside from that, I like it, it will fit in the the "CHUG" line of figures, and I think almost all of the new molds have been uber awsome. Aside from some discrepincies(if that is spelled right) of certain figures. But Hasbro is doing a better job of getting us better more accurate G1 charaters. Just not producing them fast enough.

I like this blurr better than the G1

    just my opinion

How about putting a little imagination into it?

Like, Blurr may be bulky, but the metal incorperated into him is of a lighter, durable substance than normal?

Animated Blurr is Animated. They've all got unique forms that can only be done in that style.

The style that IDW went with is something that could meld in with the other "Classics" Autobots: A generally chunky style. That's just the way things are.

ALSO: Box heads are really ugly to me. Just sayin'.

Nope you don't have to like and you can tell everyone what you don't like that is what the boards are for. I wouldn't go as far as saying Hasbro doesn't understand their own characters you just don't like the direction they are taking the character.

Animated Blurr was cool but not everyone liked it, that is why they keep trying different stuff.

I love the way IDW haters all insist that everyone agrees with them.
    We don't.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but it appears the pistols can be slotted into either side of the sniper rifle to form a 'frame' (don't know the technical term, the V-shaped thing used when you go prone with it). A member of the AA (I think it was AA, no doubt someone will correct me) display team was attempting to do it with some of the forumers watching, though apparently failed.

As far as I'm concerned, the toys are the definitive versions of the characters. If they make Blurr look like this, then this IS Blurr.

You mean try to explain away some clumsy decisions?

I have no doubt that they could've made a super-sleek Blurr that would've fitted in perfectly with other classics, and people would be all over it.

Anyway, I've no interest in becoming entrenched in this, since Blurr was never particularly important to me. It's not like they wasted a new mold on getting something wrong, this is just a retool/repaint after all.

I like this Blurr. I may prefer previous versions but that doesn't take away from liking this too. Animated wins for sleekness but this dude has the armament.

Wasn't the original Blurr a Sniper as well? I checked the G1 Bio and it said that his gun has a distance of 10 miles.

I'm not sure the opportunity presented itself in the fiction, but he does have a nice long-barreled rifle, that has a strong resemblance to this new one. As I'm sure you know, data courier was his official bio function.

Well, the resemblance in rifles made me do a double take when I saw the G1 toy.

Yeah, I played with my Blurr a LOT when I was a kid. I instantly recognized the rifle, the same way others recognize Megatron's fusion cannon.

I'm pretty much a Blurr completionist, such as that short list of toys is.

For an Earth mode Blurr... maybe? This head looks kinda odd too, I know it's based on the IDW design but the comics stuff will never get around as much as the TV series. I'll drop this toy in a heartbeat if someone does his original Cybertronian mode. If I get him he'll be a placeholder. :/

Hasbro might have created a bit of an opportunity here (for some of those same fan companies currently offering G1-accurate Arcee figures).

Looks cool. I think I might get it though I'm not too fond of Blurr's IDW look.

I wonder if anyone will consider kitbashing this into Devcon.

That's the best kind of completionist to be. Much less commitment is required, much less stress. The Prime or Starscream completionist lies awake at night haunted by that rare variant or lucky draw figure.... but the Ramhorn completionist sleeps like a baby.
