Megatron's design in RotF homages G1 Galvatron. He just didn't change his name because, frankly, Megatron's propensity to rename himself Galvatron at the drop of a hat has always been a bit stupid.

It was fine in TFTM. I haven't cared since.

Also, all you people who are speculating about Starscream's fate based on not seeing his cardboard yet...have you not learned your lesson from THIS thread?

maybe he doesnt wanna talk to same and carly. and has anyone stopped to think that maybe the head-on-a-stick props are only there for the brand new actors? (carly, new extras...ect)

 

i think all these faces is actually optimus prime's collection;  

 

Why would only the new actors need it? Everyone needs eye line, to know where to look to see the big CGI thing.

 

It would be sooo awsome in the fallen comes back to life and combines with megatron to make.............

Actually, I think that's his TFTM head:

 

somehow to me that looks like a different face if you look under his left eye there are tiny triangles or thats not his real face sorta looks like first movie one.

Doesnt mean a thing though, he'll have his updated head from rotf or even a new one for tf3, they just printed out the wrong head for the stick.

I think it's just a placeholder. I think that we're going to get Megatron in TF3 just like he was in ROTF, maybe slightly updated.
