That looks pretty kick ass if that if Shockwave. Here's to hoping the body looks just as cool.

 

YAY! I said earlier when it was unveiled that Shockwave was going to be in TF3 that as long as he had one eye and was cold and logical, I'd be happy. Anything else G1-ish would be cake, as far as I'm concerned. We're halfway there!

 

I still havn't gotten enough

I still haven't gotten enough Soundwave yet. But super pumped about Shockwave!!! They both need lots of screen time to make me happy. He should be unique compared to Megatron and way more powerful... like... not quite "Fallen" powerful... but close to it.

 

Maybe not a complete failure, but bay has been smart. If he had spent tons and made the first and second film normal then there would be barely any difference between the two (The fights are incredibly similar only the locations differ) By making the first two suck he has lowered the bar on the third. So aslong as he just has CGI robots battling with no new one`s introduced with attitudes similar to the twins or with appendages similar to Devastator`s ball`s then TF3 will be a huge success.

Everyone is clinging onto TF3 for it to be better than the first two. TBH, unless Bay add`s a robot with balls or tentacles and takes on a "kiss player" kind of style then the film will be heralded a success and save the franchise.

 

What was shocking to me about the first film, was it seemed that there actually was a decent story there. Not the greatest, but I did get into parts of the story, and even cared about the characters. They could have really made major stereotypes out of Lennox and his men, but they played them almost completely straight without going with the archetypes like with Harry Stamper's crew in Armageddon.

There was even a bit of the Spielberg 'charm' to the story that made me think a bit of the 80's films he produced. Seeing the on-screen transformation of Bumblebee reminded me of the awe I had when I was 6 seeing the DeLorean make its first time-travel in the parking lot: an effect that could make me believe that the story possibly was real.

If Bay was held on a leash regarding what he could do with the 2007 film, they let him loose on the sequel in 2009: it was largely the stuff that I grew to loathe and hate in Armageddon included in Transformers, and of most people I've spoken to, it was too convoluted, almost like a kid telling a lie that keeps getting bigger and bigger. It almost felt like Spielberg's The Lost World: they proved in the first film they could make things work (dinos in JP, giant robots in TF), that the second one they just went hog-wild.

 

Looks like Shockwave to me, can't imagine any other character having the cyclops eye.

I'm really excited at the prospect of a movieverse Shockwave figure... he's an awesome character who rarely gets a good toy.

 

I had a dream the other night! well sorta a vision.... first off it wasnt a naked girl so thats new and second it was that the RED Ferrari is wheeljack! i mean he did had Italian colours and the word martini on him G1 so it makes sense i spose! and maybe this is his head!
