What would be a very nice addition to this, would be for Reprolabels to create a sticker template for the PC screen, then you can send them your own pics and they print it on the template, ready to use :D

    BAAAHAHAHA!!! do it.

Wow, that's bigger than I thought! (that's what she said...)
Seeing this just might have trumped me getting the upcoming SDCC version...but I need tapes! But I still want this since it was first mentioned many eons ago.

Yeah he looks fine, though I really don't dig the altmode.
And I suspect the delay is due to copyright reasons.

    Ions? Really?

Anyway, does anyone know the official reason why the was delayed this much? I didn't understand a word of what openchallenge was explaining and I really doubt the leg problem DrillBIT pointed out (I don't see much change in the pics than the colors...) would delay it so much.

Even though he is an expensive guy, I never cancelled my pre-order and I want him in my Classics crew. Or plugged into my laptop and working!

Remember that this is a hub. There are 2 sets of connectors on each legs and they should be connected in serial and not parallel.
The hip of BroadBlast is movable and it breaks the connection between the connectors in the older version during transformation. Their goal was to keep the connection "live" between the computer and the hub while you transform BroadBlast into robot mode.

My other picture only shows you that the old version from magazine scan has something different between the legs in color when it compares with the one at the Toy Show.

    So, the take-home message is:

"Blaster -- now with crotch upgrade!"

That's pretty much me. Just re-pre-ordered today.

Ahhh, THAT'S one reason why it looks better. The thighs look slightly beefier on the new version... they poke out a bit past the hip joints, while the spindly thighs in the photo on the left are flush with the hip joint. That small change, plus the black-and red hip plates, really makes a big difference in the look of the figure. It makes his legs look a lot stronger and more proportional compared to the frail stick-like thighs of the original.

Assuming this is actually the case and my eyes are not playing tricks on me, I'd say the re-design was worth the wait!

Incidentally, I wonder how many people actually plan to use this as a USB hub? It seems most people in this thread, myself included, intend to just stick him on their shelf as another action figure. I know my MP3 Soundwave has never played music, and my USB Ravage has never held data...
