The ankles are a bit screwy, but I'm okay with the rest of the toy. He has a VERY cool head sculpt, and the weapon is win. Probably buying this one, but if I don't skip a single Generations toy I'll go broke!

 

i am kinda disappointed in the colors- the photoshopped image, the image for the pre-order at BBTS looked F-in Awesomesauce topped with cheese!
the metallic blue scheme was great.

i still like the mold. it's a fascinating alt mode (the AA turret mode has me scratching my head) and a half track isn't such a bad idea.

in some ways, I kinda wish that they had went this route with TFA Sentinel Prime instead of that Junkyard truck, lol.

just gotta wait for BBTS to add this to my PoL

 

Highly anticipated. However, for some reason I thought this was larger than a deluxe. Still good though and will be purchased at first sight.
I dont know about you guys, but my Universe Autobots are severely out numbered by Decepticons now even when borrowing from other lines to fill the ranks. I'd like to see more classic-esque Autobots sometime soon like Chromedome, Broadside and such.

Generations Darkmount

This guy looks awesome..a definite must-buy.

Darkmount/Straxus is not to shabby. I've been wanting a deluxe Decepticon to add to the Classics shelf. However, I'll reserve judgement until more images/reviews surface. Also it would be nice to wait and see what other Decepticons Generations has planned.

 

The ankles look like a snappin waiting to happen. I don't quite know who Straxus is, I'm on issue 12 right now, so I'll find out tomorrow. I see him fighting Blaster on 18, the toy already looks a hell of a lot better than that.

 

It looks like there's already stress marks on his left ankle.

Cant wait to finally own a plastic version of Straxus, one of my fav from the comics. Im sending many a Autobot to the smelting pools!

 

Wow! His card art is sick! I can't wait to see a video review, see if those skinny ankles are strong enough! Plus I want to see his third mode.

Really like the colors on him too.

Aside from the ankles issue and the fact he should have been made in a larger size class, I'm looking quite forward to getting him, put me down for 2!

I'm aware of that. Personally I think they'd have been better off picking the deco that worked, rather than trying to resolve the colouring errors into one garish paint scheme.

Now maybe it is a kinda realistic vehicle, but that doesn't make it a good vehicle mode. It just looks dumb to me, I almost think his original fantasy altmode looks better. I might've preferred a WFC interpretation of that design.

Out of curiosity, what's the closest real-world vehicle equivalent people could suggest for this?
