Hope someone will post all the codes to unlock these characters on the internet. I'm going with Shockwave though.

 

They are one time use codes, so that wouldn't do any good.

 

Last time I checked, 40.2% is still smaller then 59.8%, yes?

I see all the comments stating that these characters can still be unlocked in any version of the game with playing - do we have any official confirmation on this?

The other thing that makes me sad about Jazz and Shockwave being such exclusives is that it makes sure they are not an integral part of the campaign, which is sad, as they are both quite high-ranking officiers in their armies and should be key characters in the story.

 

Nope. I think there’s a lot of wishful commenting going around. These characters are called exclusive content for a reason.

3 of the 8 exclusive characters are only playable in one mode, escalation mode, which, apparently, isn’t story related. Demolisher fits in with this free mode of play.

Just because Shockwave and Jazz are confirmed for escalation mode and not story doesn’t mean they won’t take part in the actual campaigns. They might be non-playable characters, filling the roles of supporting cast members, which would be fine by me.

 

Congratulations on missing his point. That 59.8% is divided over 19 countries all over the fracking planet. As long as the US has the largest market for anything this sort of exclusive content system is going to dominate. Besides Best Buy exclusivity isn't shall, we say, iron clad. This content can and does get released outside Best Buy markets. Which as far as western nations go is very shortly going to be Korea, Japan, and which ever EU nation draws the short straw.

It's also very unlikely that this content won't get released as DLC at some point.

 

Yeah but High Moon feels the need to put Warpath in the main game. That really annoys me and I'm starting to question their decisions about the game.

 

Oh dear, they chose not to use certain characters out of the gazillion TF characters available, this game will suck!  

Let's face it people: for every bot they will put into the game there will always be fans left wanting other bots. Why would Jazz need to be a key character in the story, though? We don't know what the angle will be. Just because he was Prime's right hand man or whatever in G1 might not automatically mean he will be now - but probably he will. Even then, that doesn't mean he has to be in the game at this point.

If we're to believe the story bits released so far, Prime isn't a Prime yet during the game, but gets 'promoted'. It's highly possible there are alot of other Autobot groups fighting around Cybertron, and in the end, when they all come together, Jazz can still be first lieutenant under Prime when he becomes Prime..or whatever. I thought it was pretty normal in the army, when groups meld together the structure changes according to ranks.
